Bab's P.O.V

"Truh reh," Zantanna screamed. I felt like all the air was knocked out of me. I swear I did NOT try to tick off Zantanna, t's just the way the cards fell. Here's what happend..........

A Hour Ago

"Needs more flour," I said to Megan. She poured more flour into the cookie batter, mixed, and took a taste for herself.  "Now it needs more chocolate," Megan said to me, so I poured in some chocolate chips. We both took a taste

"Perfect," we said at the same time. Yes I know what your thinking, "Babs you can bake?" Yes I can, as a matter of fact, Alferd (the worlds best cook) taught me how. Megan put the batter on the pan and I slipped it in the oven. "Thanks for helping me," Megan said. Before I could say, no problem, I heard Zantanna.

"Batgirl, just the girl I wanted to see." I gave a quick look of distress to Megan, it was common knowladge that Zantanna and I have never been on the best terms because Dick and I were so close. "Megan," Zantanna said, "would you mind if I had a word alone with Batgirl?"

"Not at all," Megan replied before giving me a quick look that said, good luck and walked away.

"Let's talk girl to girl." Zantanna gave me such a wide smile after saying this that I thought her face was going to break. 

"So, Batgirl I was wondering if you could give me advice on how to ask out Nightwing, since he is REALLY hot." It took all my will power not to. throw up after this sentance since (no one knows but,) Nightwing and I have almost been offically dating for a week.

One Week Ago (Gotham City)

Patrol was done so Nightwing and I were sitting on the top of Wyane Interprises looking at the city. 

"Hey Wing-Nut," I said to him with a cocky grin and a light touch on the shoulder, "tag your it" I saw his face break into an instant smile as I grappled into the night. When we were Batgirl and Robin we would play tag all the time and something inside of me wanted to play it again. 

I couldn't hear him and I wouldn't look back but I knew my knight in shining kelver was right behind me. I landed gracefully on the top of an apartment building and looked back just in time for me to see something large and black hit me full force. I opened my eyes, Nightwing was on top of me looking almost as shocked as I felt. 

"I'm sorry," he said. 

"It's fine," I said back. His breath felt so good on my face and I kinda enjoyed his body on top of me, it was like Nightwing was protecting me in a way. Nightwing didn't move away in fact, he got closer until, he closed the space between us in a kiss. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me up so we were both sitting upright. I broke away from the kiss and just looked him in the eyes (ok, mask but eyes sounds so much better) We just understood our feelings for each other so well. 

"So we are a thing now," I asked. 

"We've pretty much always been a thing but now it's offical," he replied with smile, "and" he kissed my head lightly, "you're it."

"Batgirl. Batgirl!" Zantanna's voice brought me back to the present. " So with me and Nightwing what do you think I should do?"

"I truely had no idea what to say. "Ummmm...Nightwing already has a girlfriend......in civlian life." Zantanna just looked at me like I just grew 9 exrta heads. I was mentaly doing a happy dance because I thought our "girl talk" was over.

"What is Nightwing's girlfriend like," Zantanna asked. Now I was mentaly facepalming myself, if I told Zantanna too much she could relize I'm Nightwing's girlfriend. 

"Well," I began "they are best freinds and they have ALWAYS have had crushes on each other. They went to the same school and-" I was cut off.

"It's you," Zantanna said with a lot of bitterness. "When Nightwing was Robin, he would always talk about you. It would always be Batgirl this and Batgirl that and after Batgirl finishes her training she's going to join the team. He would never give me the light of day because of you and to make things even worse your dating him now, that hurts me Batgirl and now I'm going to do the say to you."

"Truh reh," Zantanna screamed. I felt like all the air was knocked out of me. I crumbled to the ground. "BATGIRL!," was the last thing I heard before everything went black.

When I opened my eyes I was laying in the Medical Bay with Robin, Megan, and Nightwing all around me. "You got knocked out by Zantanna," Robin started. "Robi and I found you and brought you here," Megan finished. Megan handed me a plate of the chocolate chip cookies we made eariler. Before floating out, Robin close behind. Nightwing was typing something on his arm computer, than door closed and locked and the cameras shut off. Nightwing took off his mask.

"Babs are you okay," he asked quitely.

"Yes" I replied "you should probely talk it out with Zantanna."

"I already did." He was holding his hand to my face.

"I love you Babs" he whispered "always and forever no girl will ever change that."
