""Your wrong" she was about to continue but was cut off my Liam." Alex that's enough. Jade wraps her arms around me. I lay against her. the door opend and out came the doctor. " How is she" I asked he sighed .I gasped."

chapter 10-

Ed's P.O.V

The doctor came out the door. I jumped up to ask him if she was ok.
"She is stable,but it was a really close call. She will be ok,we just have to keep a close eye on her for the next couple of days." He says before I can even get a word out. I let out a sigh in relief. As does everyone else.
          "Can I go see her?" I pleaded. He sighed. What why is he sighing I need to see my daughter!
"Visiting hours are over. I'm sorry," he said.
"But I'm her father! I need to stay with her!" I begged him. He sighed and nodded in defeat. I smile ,I can stay with Alice.
              "Thank you doctor," I shake his hand, he nodes and walks away. I turn back to the guys and Alex. Her face is beat red,I could tell she was about to go off. I guess the guys could too because Liam placed a hand on her shoulder.
           "Not here, not now Alex. He is her dad weather you like it or not. And he is going to stay with Alice tonight. We will come back tomorrow." He whispers. She nods once,glares at me,then stomps away.Liam looked at me with sympathy. "Bye," I give them all a hug and go in Alice's room. I took in a deep breath before walking over to her bed. I sat down in the chair next to her bed.
             "Hey sweet heart. How are you?" I run my fingers through her hair. Moving it away from her face. Tears filled my eyes. She had bruises all over, she was so skinny,and she had so many wires on her. Just looking at her like this in this state broke my heart! And it was all my fault,I couldn't protect her!
               " I'm so sorry baby girl,I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I wasn't able to protect you,I couldn't stop them form taking you and I'm so sorry! I should've protected you,I should have been there. I shouldn't have taken that phone call that day in the park. But I promise you now,that your back,and now your here with me again, I will always be there for you. I will always protect you. No matted what,okay? I promise." I whisper. I kiss her on the head and lay my head down by her hand. And kept my hand in hers the whole time. And I tried to go  into ,a not so peaceful, sleep.
           I was woken by knocking on the door. The door opened and Zayn,Liam,Louis,Harry,Alex, and then Niall came in with a bag of food? Okay then.
       "You hungry?" Asks Niall. I just sighed in response.  I was but I couldn't eat. I was too worried about Alice.
Louis sighed " You need to eat Ed. You can't go without eating. She wouldn't want you to anyway. And she is fine. She is here and alive." He assured me. I nodded and noticed Alex in the back corner. I nodded. He was right. She wouldn't want this. I needed to take care of my self.
      "Let's go to the cafeteria to eat. So we don't make a huge mess," I tell them. I get up and smoothed back her hair and kissed her on the head. "I'll be back in a little bit baby girl." And the lads follow me out the door. I keep walking and needing to be a away from that. For a few minutes. When we got there I noticed Alex wasn't with us.
"Where's Alex?" I asked . Harry told me that she was with Alice. I nodded as I waited for Liam to finish passing out the food.

Alice's P.O.V
I was swallowed in pitch black darkness. It's quiet and peaceful. But I miss daddy. A lot. A familiar voice brought me out of my thoughts.
        "Hey sis." Alex!!!! She's here she didn't leave! She's quiet for what seems like forever. She takes a breath before continuing.
      "I'm so sorry for everything. I mean I left you while you were all in the hospital from the car accident. I don't want to, but I had to. They made me. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry that I couldn't protect you from him. It should have been me not you. You took it for the both of us. Thank you for that. You were so brave. So much more than I was. I'm the oldest and yet you were the one to protect the both of us.... mom and dad would've been so proud of you. I bet they are. And there our gaurdien angles. I know we haven't been the closest,but that will change ok? I promise..." She sniffles. There is a small light at the end of the darkness. If only I could reach it.
       "I can't lose you. I can't. Your all I have left. All we have is each other. And you can't leave me here all alone ok? Right? Remember our promise? We promised we would never leave each other. You have to keel your promise! Ok?!?! I can't lose another person I love." I'm so close to light I can almost touch it!
     "I love you so much Alice. You my baby sister. And I will always be there for you. This is my promise to you as your big sister. I will always be here for you. I will be your best friend,the person you can always trust most. And I will always love you and I will never leave you,ok? I promise." As soon as she said "I promise" darkness once again consumed me. I need to wake up. Not just for now but for Alex and daddy too. For daddy.
