Chapter 13- the surprise part two

Alice's P.O.V

    So far my birthday has been amazing! I got to have my favorite breakfast, I got to go to the park even though it was really hard for him. I know he still blames himself for what happened a few weeks ago. It's been hard on me as well but I don't tell daddy, I don't want to make him feel any worse about it.  Besides, I can handle it by my self, right?

   Anyways, I have just eaten lunch,mac n cheese, my favorite, and now daddy tells me that he has a surprise for me and that people are coming over. I'm so excited! I don't really hang out with other people, because of what happened, I haven't really have time to meet others.  

  To be honest the thought of new people makes me nervous. I mean I'm beyond happy to meet new people but, I am worried that people will judge me because I am blind. It's one of the main reasons I don't have any friend besides Callie who was in a coma the last time I saw her. So you can see where there is a problem. I mean who wants to be friends with a blind girl.

   "Alice baby girl whats wrong?" he asked. I feel him wipe away the tears I didn't know were there. I shake my head and wipe my face again ridding the face of all the tears. I don't want him to see me weak. I am not going to let my thoughts or me being blind ruin the day I turned twelve. I hear him let out a sigh.

   "you have to let me in Alice I can't help you if you wont let me in." he consoles. I sigh.

  " I am worried about meeting new people I mean what if they don't like me because I can't see?" I confess looking down.
    "Alice , sweetheart, you don't have to worry about that, they are going to love you just the way you are. Blind or not. and they know about you not being able to see. They are so excited to meet you!" he hugs me. I nodded into his shoulder, feeling a whole lot better than I was a few minutes ago.

  The door bell rang pulling the hug apart. I smiled, the excitement quickly flooding back into my body. I have no idea who is coming, he wouldn't tell me. Which also makes it all the more interesting and exciting! I hear several pairs of foot steps. Their has to be at least 5 people not including daddy. I can hear the chatter of the people came in all sorts of different types of accents, but all of them British. Shadow barks welcoming the new people.

    Some one walked right in front of me. I could feel there presence, but before they could say anything the door bell rang again and i heard more footsteps of both girls and boys, i could tell because some of the footsteps were lighter than the other and there was also clacking of heels on the tile floor, that and the fact that there were voices that were higher pitched and lower pitched. I run my hands through Shadow's soft warm fur. The talking slowly came to a stop.

  I could feel everyone's eyes on me, the room being completely silent. I took a breath and decided to break the silence.

"Hi I'm Alice Sheeran, and I am 12 years old today." I tell them, my hand still running through Shadow's fur. I heard some shuffling around and I heard daddy say to me

" Alice they are going to introduce themselves now." i nodded ready to listen to who was who. I hear a group of guys first.

"Hi we are one direction" I laughed, remembering when I used to watch their video diaries before the car accident that caused me to lose my eye sight. I waved to them. The next voices I  hear make me want to cry from excitement.

"Hello I'm Micheal Clifford."

"I am Calum Hood "

"I'm Luke Hemmings"

   "Hello my name is Ashton Irwin",  "and we are 5 seconds of summer!" I can feel my smile widen,they are like one of my favorite bands ever! I love their music so much, And their new album sounds good feels good ...I have no words its that good. I listened to it on spotify, and i fell in love with it! "Hi" I giggle a little, as they came and gave me hugs. I swear my heart melted right then and their!  I almost fainted after hearing the next group of peole.
