I felt the light tickle of sunshine on my eyelids and stretched, popping my joints. "mmm" snuggling deeper into my duvet i nearly dozed off again until my eyes flew open with sudden realisation. "SHOPPING!" Now dont get me wrong im not materialistic, shallow or vain i just like fashion and design, not thst i would ever try and follow my mums footseps, i had seen peeks fo the fahsion world and did not want to be part of it. Jumping up i slid from my bed humming to myself and ran towards the bathroom.
After a long shower, i emerged steaming and smeeling like vanilla and cocunut. Striding to my closet wrapped only in my robe i opened the massive doors and perused my shelves. Deciding on my outfit i pulled out a white flowing blouse with bead embelishment, peach mini high waisted shorts and pink pumps. Looking in the mirror i studied myself. I was average, not gorgous like my mum or strong like my dad.
I was a petite 5'8 with a slim body and only a few curves. I had long blonde hair hanging down past my waist, tanned skin and big catlike eyes green and blue eyes. My mum always said she had wished i could be beautiful like her models, then again the last time she saw me i had braces and had been bony and uncoordinated. Lowering my eyes i tucked my hair behind my ears, put a smile on my fface and headed for my door.
Walking out into the rets of the house i could hear the vacuum cleaner somewhere upstairs and Monsieur downstairs. Monsieur had been my cook for as long as i could remember packig up Alana my tutor as we travelled the world on my parents whim. he was about 60 now with white hair and a black mustache which i continually teased him about. SKipping down the marble staircase i entered the kitchen to see Monsieur serving up fruit salad and cream waffles.
"Monsieur! Good Morning! Comment ca va?"
"Ca va Bien merci mademoiselle!" He smiled fondly at me before pulling out my chair and giving me a kiss ont he head as he walked to the kitchen to clean. "What are you doing today Madmeoiselle?"
"Shopping" i smiled impishly at him. He shighed "Alana wont appreciate you missing two days in a row."
"It was my birthday yesterday!" I teased. He straigtened with a smile his little black mustache bobbing as he did. "And you still wont allow me to bake you a cake?" "Definitley not! You know what mama would say!"
I shook off any thoughts of parents jumped from my seat lithely onto my heels, gave Monsier a quick kiss on the cheek before running to the garage. Scouring for the perfect car over the many in our garage i found my red ferrari, the onyl car i had picked myself. Smilign cheekily i jumped in before sliding on sunglasses and reversing out through the garage and into our long driveway, avoiding the fountain and hedges, looking across the tennis courts, orchards and swimming pool. Before driving away without a second look.
It only took me 20 minutes to drive to the shopping centre, at the moment i was living in Los Angeles which conveniently had thousands of stores. Quickly parking, i made my way into the airconditioned centre, sighing in relief as i saw the window shops, with clothes, shoes and jewellery. My obsession for clothes really wasnt based on looks, but appearance has been ingrained in me since before i was born. I'd been on the front cover of the New York Times as a Baby, in all my mothers latest baby designs.
As i wondered around i felt eyes on me, trying not to be obvious i glanced around before sitting down at a nearbu cafe table. Scanning the busy mall, i saw a man looking straight at me.
He was average height, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing Jeans and a black shirt, absolutly nothing stood out about him, except his eyes were fixated upon me with an almost feverish intensity. Feeling uncomfortable i stood up, trying to shake off the weird vibes i was getting from him. Flustered i made my ways towards the restrooms, my heels clicking across the marble floor.
