Second Day Yet Still The Same Me

*alarm clock rings*

            It’s the second day and I have to go to school again. I didn’t have a good sleep because of Kojii, he even reminds me of what that “tree guy” did to me yesterday, and I can’t calm myself because of them.

*knock knock*

Nana: “Jin, hurry and eat your breakfast.”

That’s my grandmother. I call her Nana.

Jin: *opens the door* I’ll be right there Nana.

Nana: Okay…

            I no longer have my parents. It’s not that they’re dead; I just hate them until I came to the point on considering them that they didn’t exist in my life anymore. It started when I was still 8 years old.

I heard them arguing again, my mom worked overseas and she came home 3 weeks ago before that argument. Mom found out about dad’s secret. I know this is so stupid but let’s just say he doesn’t love my mom anymore. He even told my mom that he doesn’t even miss her and that’s all because of my mom’s fault and he doesn’t feel her presence anymore. Of course my mom stands up for herself but dad doesn’t care anymore.

Nana: Jin… you still have to take a bath, hurry up with your food, you’re going to be late for school.

After 1 week, my grandma went to our house and she told me that she will stay there for good; at the same time, my mom leaves me without a single word coming out from her mouth. My dad told me that he will come back for me and he has some things he has to reconcile.

It’s been seven years, I’m not hoping anymore for him to come back. I don’t have any news for whatever happened to my mom. My grandmother won’t tell me a single word what my mom told her before she leaves me. I grow up to be like this. I let myself grow with hatred and I teach myself to be strong.

Nana: Jin, your birthday is coming soon. You’re going to be 16!

Jin: Nana, it is still June! July is still far.

Nana: But it’s just weeks before your birthday.

Jin: I’m done Nana, thanks for the food. I’m going upstairs.

Flashback…

            Mom! Mom! *crying, running after the car*

            Please don’t go! *stumble, sob*

Jin: You didn’t even look back that time, I even run as fast as I could to reach you. I hate you both so much. *pissed*

            I arrived at school when I saw loads of students gathered around near the school gate. I’m having a hard time to avoid that crowd and then I saw Mere and I come near her.

Mere: Hi there! I didn’t see you coming. What a big crowd there!

Jin: What’s with them?

Mere: You know senior Khalid right? He got his self an injury and when girls saw it, they all get wild and nervous, and worried and they’re all panicking!

Jin: Whose he?

Mere: You don’t know him? Three years of studying in this school, yet you didn’t know who senior Khalid is?
