Axl POV
"Come on Heck!" Sean yells from bleachers as I sprint up the side of the field, dodging all of the kids who try to rip my flags off. With the football secure in my hands, I spin around some beef head, gaining more land as I head towards the end zone. Dazzling the girls who are swooning over me on the sidelines, I slow my pace to a light jog, watching the band kids trying to catch up with me.
My foot enters the end zone, my touchdown being completed as Sean and Darrin come running towards me, hollering out football nonsense, acting the same as if we were in an actual game. I high five them, noticing the girls class heading towards us. "Listen up guys, we are gonna play some friendly softball with the ladies. Teams will be half guys, half girls." Coach Ray says, shaking his head at his clipboard.
"Okay, Coach Rays team will be Danvers, Johnson, Heck, Raymond, Mcgrew, Donahue, Casey, Jacobs, Lee, Tray, Stuart, Colbie and James." The girls coach says, my head snapping towards where all the girls are standing. I find her sparkling blue eyes immediately, her body leaning against a metal softball bat, her hip popped out slightly. Her hoodie shows off her stomach, while her spandex shorts hug her perfectly. Her hair is in a long braid down her back with a Nike headband pulling any hairs from her face.
Knowing that Becca made varsity all three years at her private school, I grin and make my way over to her. "That's not fair! She plays varsity softball, obviously she is going to make her team win!" Morgan whines from her teams little circle, stomping her foot against the ground. I smile at my girlfriend, her little tantrums are cute sometimes. "Stupid bitch." She mutters, my smile fading.
Becca's head snaps over to her, one eyebrow cocked. "I'm sorry I don't prance around in a skirt yelling 'go team'!" Becca mocks Morgans voice towards the end, a red tint coming to my girlfriends face. I'm about to step in when Becca speaks again. "You're not upset that your team is going to lose, you're upset that you're not with Axl. If you want to be with him so badly then take my place." Morgan furrows her eyebrows before moving next to me, wrapping an arm around my stomach.
Becca moves to Morgans spot, squatting down to arrange positions of her team (That's filled with band geeks). "Game on! Heck, your teams fielding first." Coach calls at me, looking less than enthusiastic that Becca isn't on his team anymore. I place Morgan in far right field, out of the way in case Becca decides to get back at her for earlier. I stand at the pitchers mound, waiting for my first victim.
Jessica, one of Sue's friends stands at the plate, her nervous hands shaking the bat against her shoulder. "Just like I showed you Jessica, okay? You'll do great!" Becca says, running up to place the helmet on the scrawny girl. Jessica nods, looking back to me. I wind up, sending the ball straight into Seans hands. Jessica yelps, looking at Becca for reassurance. "That's a start!" Becca cheers.
I smile at my best friend, her kindness reaching everyone she meets. I wind up again, this time the ball connects with the bat, sending it far into left field. Darrin isn't fast enough to catch it before it lands, allowing Jessica to make it to first base with ease. I watch Coach Ray put his head down as the girls coach high fives Becca. I turn around and see Morgan with her eyes on her nails, picking at the manicure I payed for.
After a while, Becca's team has no outs and bases loaded. The small blonde comes up to the plate, bending her knees in a way that makes her curvy figure look even better. I shake my head and wind up, sending the ball as fast as it can go down the field, connecting hard with Becca's bat. She removes the helmet and runs, sending all of the other kids to home base.
