Becca POV
"Okay, are you comfortable? I can move the pillows a little but the internet said that you should prop your foot up after surgery." Sue says, rambling off any and all things she read online last night. I sigh, contemplating just having Brick take care of me seeing as he seems to be the least annoying Heck child lately. "Maybe if I just switch this pillow with this one, it will be more comfortable."
I yelp as she moves my foot off of the pillow, sending it to the floor with a thud. "Ok, Sue, I love you but please, let Brick take care of me." I beg, pulling my cast clad foot back onto the pillow on at the end of Axl's bed. She nods, her usual peppy smile back on her face, bouncing out of the room while calling the youngest Heck.
So far, Sue has tripped over my foot, spilt hot coffee down my cast and dropped my foot multiple times while Axl hasn't been any better. While carrying me into the house, he smacked my foot off of the door frame, dropped me on the tile floor and stole my crutches to trip Sue with.
Brick comes strolling into the room, two books in his hands. "I brought you The Grapes of Wrath. It's one of my favorites." He says, passing me the book before jumping into his bed, consuming himself in Moby Dick immediately. Uttering every other word out loud under his breath, I sigh and open the book, yawning before I can even read a single word.
"Brick, maybe we can just talk?" I suggest, watching him reluctantly peel his eyes from the book. He looks at me as if I have two heads, shocked by the idea that someone could want to do something besides read in utter silence. "How was school today? It's a friday so that must have been relieving." I start, noticing his eyes wondering to the book once again.
Brick sighs at my constant talking. "I don't like Fridays, I like Mondays. I like school." He explains, reading once again. I sigh and push my glasses down from my forehead to my nose, opening the book that I was supposed to read in seventh grade. Just as I'm about to start, the door slams open and in comes Morgan and Axl, viscously making out with one another. Brick just silently leaves and closes the door as the two stumble to sit at the end of Axl's bed.
I roll my eyes and remove the blankets from me, the cool air hitting my bare legs as I climb from Axl's bed to Bricks. "What the hell?" Morgans pitchy voice squeals as I lay on top of Bricks comforters. I turn my head and see the two staring at me, Morgans eyes filled with anger while Axl's are filled with his normal 'my best friend got hot' goggly eyes.
"Oh, calm down. Keep going, it's not like I'm going to interfere. It wouldn't be the first time this has happened." I mutter the end sentence, hearing their kissing continue. I flip onto my back, my shirt rising up to the top of my calvin's. A few seconds later, the kissing ceases and I feel two pairs of eyes on me once again. "May I help you?" I snap, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Is that Axl's shirt?" Morgan mewls, making a pouty face at Axl. I roll my eyes and nod, waiting for her to explain why she felt the need to ask me that stupid question. "I just don't like it how another girl is wearing my boyfriend's clothes, it's disrespectful to me and its disrespectful to this relationship." My jaw drops and I look to Axl's face, his eyes pleading for me to be nice so he can cop a feel.
I push myself up in the bed so I'm sitting straight up. "Look, I always wear Axl's stuff and I always will. If you don't want me wearing his stuff when you're around I won't but I will continue to wear it when you're not here. Would you like me to take it off?" I ask, her head nodding before I finish my question. A smirk comes to my face as I reach for the hem of his shirt, Morgan waiting there expectantly. I pull the shirt over my head, giving the two a great view of my lace bra.
"Axl stop looking!" She squeals, covering Axl's eyes as I pull the shirt back over my head, flipping onto my stomach before sprawling myself across the bed. I close my eyes, tuning out the banter between the couple.
Axl POV
After kissing Morgan at the door, I shut it behind her and go on my way to my bedroom. Brick is standing outside of the door, staring at me. "Becca is on my bed and I can't lift her and I refuse to spend a night in Sue's room ever again." He rattles off, opening the door before pointing towards the sleeping girl on his bed. "And don't make a joke about a girl being in my bed." He catches.
I groan and move towards Brick's bed, placing one arm under her stomach and the other on her shoulder, turning her so she's laying on her back. I pick her up and move her to my bed, pulling the blankets up before climbing in behind her. I remove her glasses carefully, placing them on my nightstand before taking her beanie off and leaving it near my pile of clean clothes on the floor.
I pull my varsity jacket off, placing it next to her body before ripping my shirt off, chucking it somewhere near Brick. Finally I pull my jeans off, kicking them down into my sheets at the end of my bed. I pull her body into mine, placing one hand flat on her stomach and the other under my head. "You're freezing, Axl." She says accusingly.
"Well I'm sorry I don't have a soul from the depths of hell like you do." I retort, her body wiggling into mine even closer. I tighten my grip around her body, tucking my face into her neck, her hair tickling my cheeks as I snuggle even close to her. Brick sighs from his bed, turning the lights off in the bedroom.
"At least I don't have a heart made of ice, right Brick?" She calls, earning an agreement from my little brother. I throw a shirt at Brick, his mouth emitting a hiss when it hits him. "Hey Axl, remember when you saw my bra tonight?" She ask, my cheeks heating up at the thought of it. Morgan's going to kill me for that. I nod against her neck, pinching her toned stomach to make her shut up about that whole thing.
Brick giggles from his bed, sending both Becca's and my own head up in his direction. "It's not like Axl hasn't seen a girls bra before. So, why are you so flustered about it Axl? Is it because you like Becca?" Bec snorts next to me, turning her body so her front is pressed against mine. Her small hands press against my torso, my hand sliding to her lower back.
"Brick, weren't you the one who threw a half dressed girl out of your bed?" I comment back, Becca's leg slipping between mine as I speak. "And weren't you the one who couldn't lift a girl who weights less than 120 pounds? And weren't you the one who put a blanket over Becca because she's not wearing pants?" I torment him, earning a giggle from Becca that she tries to suppress by placing her face into my chest.
"I was being respectful." He grumbles, Becca's giggles increasing as she clings to my biceps, trying to silence them still. I chuckle and place my hand in her hair, pressing her harder into me. "At least I don't try to grope Becca every chance I get." Brick keeps fighting back, my jaw dropping at his words. How does he know all of these words?
I peer down at Becca, raising my hand from her back to hover over her ass, sending my hand down quickly. She yelps, slapping my chest lightly before climbing on top of me, pinning my arms down by my head. She sits on my chest, her, well, my shirt riding up her waist. "What? Are you jealous that I get to touch Becca? You perv." Brick groans at his obvious defeat, kicking his feet against his bed before he falls silent, breathing heavily.
I push Becca lightly off of me, pulling her back into our previous position with her warm hands against my stomach. "Goodnight Axl, I love you." Becca says, looking up at me. I smile at her, telling her that I love her more before leaning down to kiss her cheek. She pecks my chest as she settles down, closing her eyes. I run my fingers through her hair, soothing her until soft sighs are emitting from her parted lips.
