A/N --- Becca's outfit will be found in the external link! xoxo

Frankie POV

"Did Becca sleep over last night?" Mike asks, his plaid shirt tucked half into his jeans. I nod and continue to place waffles into the toaster. He hums as he sits, watching the hallway as Brick emerges with a book in his hands and another one tucked under his arm. "Hey buddy, grab me a cup of coffee while you're over there." My husband calls to Brick, who is currently trying to reach a mug in the cabinet.

"She's always over, not that I mind. I adore her more than anything else, she's such a great example for Axl." I coo about the child I wish was my own, leaning my head on my hand before noticing that Brick is still struggling to  get a mug from the cabinet.

I pull one down for him, placing it on the counter so he won't drop it. "I could use one of these. Axl and Becca were up all night giggling and moving around under the covers. I couldn't get any sleep!" Brick exclaims, trudging over to hand Mike his coffee. I look at him, cocking an eyebrow. Mike returns the facial gesture, standing from the stool he was seated in.

"Do you think they finally? You know." I mumble, moving to stand next to Mike as we peer down the hallway. It seems relatively quiet before the sound of Axl's bed springs creak and giggles come from his room. Sue walks from her room, crossing her arms as she stomps up to where we are. The look on her face tells me that she isn't happy.

Her arms are up in the air before words even come from her mouth. "What are they even doing in there? They've been like that all night! I couldn't even get ten minutes of sleep!" She yells, a smirk crossing Mike's face. I elbow him in the ribs, earning a grunt from him. "And his bed kept making this weird sound as if they were jumping on it!" Sue complains, that smirk returning to Mike's face before I can stop it.

I grab Mike's arm, pulling him behind me as I make my way to Axl's door. The giggling and movement of the springs stills for a second before Axl groans oddly, setting the giggling back into full motion. I open the door, seeing two pairs of feet intertwined, peaking out from below the covers. Axl's feet are on top of Becca's, showing that he's laying on her. The smirk is still plastered on Mike's face as I tug on the blanket.

It falls in my hand, revealing the two teenagers tangled in each other. Axl's head is rested on Becca's shoulder as she holds up her phone. A video is playing on the screen, some comedy act by Daniel Tosh. A sigh comes from Mike's lips as he leaves the room, probably sad that his 17 year old son didn't get any last night after the big win. "Oh, um, breakfast is ready." I say, noticing their body positions.

Axl is laying half on Becca, his arms wrapped around her chest, curling behind her back to hold her neck. Her leg is thrown over his, while her free hand is in his hair. Shockingly, Becca isn't in Axl's clothes today, but instead a silky black robe. Axl has his boxers on while his letterman jacket lays besides the two. "You couldn't have knocked?" Axl grumbles, tugging the blanket out of my hands before laying it down on their bodies.

"We will be out in two minutes, just gotta finish this." Becca smiles, pointing at her phone. Maybe there is a reason why she's my favorite and she's not even my kid. I smile back, closing the door behind me as I make my way back into the kitchen. Mike is leaning against the sink with his cup of coffee in his hands.

I grab the waffles from the toaster, tossing them on plates before sliding them over to Brick and Sue. "I was so sure that it was happening." Mike says to me, a disappointed look on his face. "I mean, they can't just be friends, right? Not with the way that they act with each other." He consoles himself just as Becca and Axl appear in the kitchen, a scowl on my sons face.

His arm his thrown around Becca's shoulders, holding her close as he directs them to the stools. "Move, nerds." He mumbles at his siblings, a hurt look on Sue's face. Becca rolls her eyes and shoves him down on the stool, pulling herself up to sit on his lap. He wraps his arms around her waist, laying his head across her shoulder.

I put two cereal bowls in front of them, placing spoons in the bowl before grabbing milk and Cookie Crisp cereal. Becca pours their cereal and milk how each of them like it before moving to sit sideways on Axl's lap, her arm wrapping around his neck. "When's Morgan coming over?" Mike asks from behind me, causing Axl's head to snap up.

"No clue, probably soon." Axl responds, looking at Becca momentarily before diving back into his cereal. Mike nods, placing his cup in the sink as he walks back to our room to shower and get ready for the day. "Do you wanna go with us? You know, to the aquarium. I think my friend Jake wanted to go. It wouldn't be like a date, just a hangout." Axl says, extending his invitation to Becca only. She just nods and continues to eat.

As everyone finishes up their meals, Becca stands and stretches. Axl kisses the top of her head as he walks towards the bathroom to take a well needed shower. "Can you tell Axl to come get me when they're ready to go?" She asks and I nod in response before she walks out the front door to get ready for the double date.

Axl POV

Getting home from the aquarium, I toss my jacket on the couch before kicking my shoes into the wall. My mom is sitting at the table, waiting up for me as per usual. "Axl, can you sit down for a minute?" She asks, her eyebrows furrowing as I walk slowly over to my seat. "We have to talk about a few things."

I lean forward to rest my elbows on the table, placing my head in my hands. "What's so important that it can't wait until tomorrow? I'm exhausted and Becca will be on her way over any minute." I sigh, pushing myself back in the seat so I'm nearly laying diagonally. Mom just groans at me, rubbing her temples before turning to look at me.

"Look, Axl, you're 17 now and that means a lot more freedom in your love life than ever before. And, I understand that Becca is a pretty girl," I interrupt her there, throwing my hands in the air as if to ask her to stop talking about my best friend that way.

Mom gives me a look, annoyed that I cut her whole speech short. "Mom, Becca is my best friend. Stop digging in deeper than that. I'm dating Morgan, I love Morgan. I love Becca too but not in the same way. Just drop it." I plead, her eyes softening at my pretty kind words about the two main girls in my life.

"I just wanted to say that I understand if you find Becca attractive, I just don't want you two to rush into something you're not ready for. Same goes for you and Morgan. What if Becca ran off with some guy tonight and had sex and got pregnant? It happens all the time. I'm just saying to be careful when it comes to that stuff. As a mother, I'm allowed to get worried so don't look so annoyed with me all the time." She finishes, cocking an eyebrow in my direction.

Just then Becca walks in the front door, her messy blonde hair falling down to her waist. A wide smile is on her face as she greets my mom, earning a kiss to the cheek from her before making her way to my room. "Nothing to be worried about, it's just Becca."
