The Morning Preparations

Caliph
My boys threw one hell of a Bachelor party and the surprise I got from Tasha was amazing as well. My night was one to remember, but I'm ready to make long lasting memories with my wife! The boys and I are just getting up and our barbers are getting set up to get us right. My mind is constantly reverting back to the love making that I shared with Tasha last night. My best friend who is also my best man, Trae, comes over to me and says, "Man I'm glad you and Tasha joining as one. She brings out the best in you and I know she truly loves you and my niece Jada. I'm proud to call her my sister." I respect and love my "brother" for giving me his blessing for my marriage to Tasha. I stand to give him a brotherly hug and say, "Don't be getting all emotional nigga. You know thugs don't cry!" We both start laughing. It doesn't take us long to get suited and booted up, but I have a surprise up my sleeve so we're gone to hold off on getting dressed for now. Someone knocks on the door and one of my homeboys answers the door and brings me a gift wrapped box. I open it and it's a diamond-crusted Rolex from Tasha. The note on the box reads, "Just a lil something to make sure you're shining bright on our big day. Love Mrs. Gaines!" I feel like a female because I'm smiling so hard. It was the same Rolex that we seen when we were out shopping one day. I decided not to get it that day because I was spoiling her and Jada. But the thought that she remembered and made it her business to go back and buy it for me means more than anyone will know. I wonder how everything is going over there with my soon-to-be wife.

Tasha
Last night was the best way to bring in my wedding day. We ended up combining the Bachelor and Bachelorette parties because we were all in the same place. I overly enjoyed myself last night; from the amazing love-making that Caliph and I shared to the endless Turn up at the party. We're just getting up and Caliph arranged for Me and my girls to have breakfast at Tiffany's. So we're headed there to eat and after that our MUAs & Hair stylists will go to work. We all had our Spa day yesterday, so we got that out of the way. I'm so excited about today. I mean there's nothing that could change my mood today!

So my assistant just told me that the girls have made it to Tiffany's for breakfast. I decided that we would surprise them by showing up and joining them. Once we arrived to Tiffany's, due to me renting the restaurant out for the morning, all I could hear was them laughing and talking loud. I spot my bride-to-be eating and laughing at a joke that one of her friends had made. She looks up and our eyes immediately lock. She smiles and gets up; walking towards me. Once we're face to face with each other, I grab her up in the most loving hug and began kissing on her hotspot; her neck. She giggles and whispers in my ear, "You know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding." I whisper back to her saying, "There's no bad luck in sight. Plus I wanted to do something different with our wedding day." She pulls back, looks at me and says, "And what's that?" "I wanted us to have breakfast together since we're going to have dinner together later on today and I missed this gorgeous face", I say to her while kissing her cheek.  She smiles and says, "Well I don't see a problem with that!" While we are eating and just talking, all I can think about is spending the rest of my life with Tasha and how lovely it's going to be. As we depart from Tiffany's, I pull my Baby to the side and thank her for my watch. I also thanked her for accepting Jada as her own as well as loving me unconditionally. Lastly, I thanked her for agreeing to spend the rest of her life with me and Jada as a family. She wipes a few tears from her eyes and says to me, "God put us in each other's life for a reason. Our purpose to each other is love, support, and Care for each other for eternity!" I passionately kiss her; agreeing with her whole heartedly. Our kiss deepens and I can tell that she's getting hot. I break the kiss off and tell her to wait until tonight so that I can take my time and do it right. She gives me that sultry look and shakes her head in agreement.  Once we got back to the hotel, we began to get dressed. It only took us 30 minutes to get dressed, but I know the women haven't even finished with their hair yet. I guess we might as well turn up a lil bit because I know they gone be late.

Tasha
So we're back at the hotel, and everyone has gotten their hair and makeup done except me. I wanted to be last so that I wouldn't mess up anything. All of my girls are putting on their dresses and I'm about to get started with my glam team. I get a text from Caliph.
Caliph: "How's it going over there?"
Me: "Everything is fine. What about over there?"
Caliph: "You know it doesn't take us long to get dressed. We waiting on y'all."
Me: "My girls are already dressed and my glam squad is getting me ready at this very minute. So don't be coming for us."
Caliph: "Baby so it's you who's taking a long time. I should've known; it takes you forever to get dressed at home."
Me: "Well you know I don't even have to get dressed. I can tell them to stop. Would you like that?"
Caliph: "Chill out Tasha. I was just playing. You taking it too far."
Me: "Lol see you need to stop playing! I was just joking Baby."
Caliph: "Okay I'm done. I love you and I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle!"
Me: "Lol. I love you more!"
By the time I was done texting Caliph, my team was ready to assist me in putting on my dress. I had Vera Wang to custom design my dress. It has a five foot long train attached to it. It's also strapless and majority of it diamond-studded. It took me about seven minutes to put the entire dress on. Right when we were finishing up, my wedding coordinator came in and said it showtime! I have butterflies all over again!

The Wedding Ceremony
Caliph
Everyone is looking so nice while they're coming down the aisle. I finally here that sweet melody that signals that my Baby is coming down the aisle. I start getting emotional as I watch her come down the aisle. She smiles at me then mouthes, "I love you Big Cry Baby." I chuckle at her and then wipe the few tears that came down my face. As her father is giving her away to me he whispers in my ear, "I'm glad my daughter found someone who loves and cares for her just like her father. You were the best man for the job." I give him a fatherly hug, getting a lot of "Ahhs" out of the crowd. As I take Tasha's hand, the Reverend begins with the ceremony. The Reverend announces that both Tasha and I have written our own vows:
My vows to Tasha:
"I, Caliph Gaines, take you, Tasha Wright, to be my wife, my partner in crime and in life and my one and only true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through the good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. Tasha, you not only accepted me into your life, but you have taken on the motherly role in our daughter, Jada's, life. I will love you until eternity for that alone. So I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live."
Tasha wipes tears from her eyes and starts to read her vows.
Tasha's vows to Me:
"I, Tasha Wright, take you, Caliph Gaines, to be my friend, my lover, the father of my children and my husband. After leaving a bad situation, God placed our Princess Jada and You into my life. I've always told myself I would never find a man that is as good as my father. And I was right because I found someone who is better than my father. I know you are truly heaven sent and that's why I will be yours in time of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish and respect you, to care and protect you, to comfort and encourage you, and stay with you, for all eternity. I love you!"
After Tasha finished her vows, there wasn't a dry eye in sight. After Tasha's parents, my mother, Jada, Tasha and I poured our individual sand into the unity jar, the Reverend announced us saying, "After unifying themselves before God, I see no reason as to why I need to prolong this moment. Caliph Gaines do you take Tasha Wright to be your lawful wedded wife? I look Tasha in the eyes and say, "I do." The Reverend continues saying, "Tasha Wright do you take Caliph Gaines to be your lawful wedded husband?" She smiles at me and says, "I do." The Reverend smiles and says, "By the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride!" I pull Tasha into me and began slobbering her down. Before we got to carried away, I broke off the kiss. She looks up at me and says, "I love you Mr. Gaines." I smiles down at her and say, "I love you more Mrs. Gaines!" We turn and face the audience while the Reverend announces, "I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Caliph Jamaal Gaines!" Everyone stands, claps, and starts cheering for our union. I am beyond happy and excited. I look at Tasha and I can tell she is feeling the exact same way! We are truly blessed!
