The Daughter of Captain Hook

Chapter 5

I sit outside on the visitors bleachers to see Carlos practcing with Ben. Why am I outside? Hiding from Evie. She wants to do my hair and that fight does not end well.

I look at a spell titled coup de sifflet de chien. I shrug and say the one line. "Faire ce chien viennent ici...?" I hope i said it right. Then a dog comes out of nowhere and chase Carlos. Ben runs after him. Oh no! Carlos has a fear of dogs. "CARLOS." I run down the bleachers and chase after them into the woods.

I bump into Ben. "Oh, hey, Blaze, what are you doing here?" Ben asks. "Where is Carlos?" I ask. "Dont worry he is fine." I look to see him playing with the dog. "Woah, how did you do that?" I ask. "I showed him Dude. Thats the school mutt. I guess he got out of his cage and wanted to go for a run." He says.

I nod. I walk away. "So how has your stay been?" Ben asks carching up. "Uh, fine i guess." I say. "Look i need to find my friends so I will talk to you later." I say and run away.

As Mal draws the wand, with Jane whining in her face and Evie makes a dress I look through my books and find out the spell was a dog whistle. Sorry Carlos.

I look up after a year of reading my spells I see Jane gone and Carlos and Jay magically appear. I hear a knock on the door and open it.

Its Ben. "Oh, hey Ben." I say. "Hi again. So i came over to see if anyone had questions on anything." He says.

"Oh I do actually. Um whats the corination?" I ask. "I get crowned king and there is fairy godmother using her wand and all that good stuff."

"Is there any chance maybe we can have a front row seat to soak up all that goodness?" Mal pitches in walking over to us. "Oh sorry its just my parents the godmother and my girlfriend." He says. "Okay bye!" Mal slams the door.

"I think i found our ticket to the wand." She says smiling.

Turns out Mal is using a love spell on him. For her. Ugh. Not liking this at all...

I stand next to the fridge's looking in my book. "Uh, hello? Earth to Blaze. Might wanna help us out over here?" I hear Mal say mixing up the ingredients. "Why? I mean the spell is yours right?" I say. Everyone looks at me. "No way! You like Ben!" Evie says. "What! No way. Why would I like him? He is too peppy and pretty and tall and his eyes are too blue it looks like I'm looking in the oce-" i catch myself.

"Okay I maybe like him a bit but I mean making him Love you is not okay." I tell Mal. "Well, what if he fell in love with you?" She says. "No! Mal I know what your doing." I cover my ears even though i still listen. She walks towards me. "Just think, Ben loving you right back. Wanting you right back."

I really do want that.

"C'mon, Blaze. It's time for you to be a little more daring." She says giving me the whisk. I give up. I hrab the whisk and start mixing. "Whats the next ingredient?" I ask. "Uh, a tear." Mal says. "Well who here is an easy cryer?" I ask. "C'mon one of us needs to cry." I say. "Why dont we just cut an onion?" Jay says.

"It needs to be a tear of sadness not pain." Mal says. I see Mulans daughter walk in the kitchen. "Hey guys. Whatcha making?" She looks at the concauction we just made and tastes it. We all look at her. "What? Im not gonna double dip!" She says. "Do you feel anything?" I ask. Then I see Jay walk up and give her flirty eyes. She raises her eyebrows and looks back at us. "Could use some chocolate chips." She shrugs and gets whatever those are.

"You know to make chocolate chip cookies with?" She says. "Haven't your parents ever made you cookies when your sad or hurt?" She asks. I look away trying not to think of Peter. "I thought even villians love their kids, right?" She says. We all look down. "That is so sad." She says. I look at her and notice a tear rolls down her cheek. I wipe it and put it in the mixture while Jay pushes her out.

I mix then we make the one and only Love cookie.....
