(Axel's P.O.V)

I wonder what they ran out for. I bet Abby is wondering the same thing, she looks quite confused. Sometimes I wonder why both Tre and I got suck being Alphas. Well, we technically aren't Alphas yet, but we will be when we are eighteen which means we have a year left. There is three flipping packs in this city! Why can't there be one? I place my hands on my face in frustration.

"Axel, did you tell Emma when she woke?" concern written on her face.

"Huh, what Abby?"

"Did you tell her?" she said a bit louder and a bit slower, making sure I had understood her this time around.

"Oh, no I didn't. She was distracted." I was slightly disappointed by the way Emma was acting.

"Well tell her when she gets back in. I'll give you a bit to think it over and then I'll tell her that you need to talk to her."

"Okay, thanks Abby."

Hmm, I don't know what I should tell her. She doesn't even know werewolves exist. That must mean, no...my eyes widen at the thought. I look up at Abby which she's looking at me a bit puzzled.

"What is that look for?"

"I just realized somethin'." my eyes still wide.

"That is?"

"Emma's never shifted before."

Abby's eyes go wide, but then lifts an eyebrow. "Even though her dad is a werewolf, it don't mean she's goin' to have a wolf herself." she placed her hands on her hips. "Her mom is still human. She could be like her mom, but still have abilities like her dad."

"I see where you're comin' from, but how could that explain her ability only powerful werewolves have?" I folded my arms across my chest.

She scrunched up her nose, furrowing her brow. She took in a breath and tilted her head. "Now that I think of it, when I first met Emma, I could feel power radiatin' off her. I didn't think anythin' of it with Mr. Parker bein' the Beta 'n all."

I nod in agreement, bringing one hand to my face. "Still, the power that came off her was more than that of an Alpha's. She's got to have a wolf in her with that much power."

She groaned, obviously defeated by the argument. "And this is why I hate keepin' secrets from pack members, even if it is to protect them. We all knew this would happen sooner or later, we just didn't know how it would happen." she turned to the door, grabbing the doorknob. "I'm gonna go get her. You've got fifteen seconds to come up with a plan." she opened the door as quickly as she left.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I start to freak out, but that's when I realize one thing. Dad told me about a year ago that Alphas and on coming Alphas have a power. It's suppose to be a cure for lost wolves or lift blockades. It can only be used once and with a sort of bonding interaction though. I don't know if I should do that though. I pace a little, but then I just sit back in my seat. One thing comes into mind, kissing her would be the best option. It's gotta work so I'll kiss her instead of explain everything and making a fool out of myself. I chuckle a bit at the thought. She's going to hate me for this.

I snap my head towards the front door. Emma's now standing there with no expression. I stand up from my seat with a cheesy grin. I walk up to her, but she just shakes her head and walks away. Why is she walking away? What did Abby tell her?

I sigh in disbelief, "Emma?"

She turns around a bit furious. "What Axel?" she booms at me. Why is she angry?

I just walk up to her, locking eye contact with her. Every step I took to her, she stepped back. She looks cute when she's angry, it suits her.

Her back hit a wall. She rolled her eyes, in utter defeat. "Axel, what are yo-"

I cut her off as I pressed my lips against hers. Sparks fly as I continue to kiss her. I pull away to answer her question. "That should answer all your questions."

She just stared at me. She blinks once and realization fills her eyes.

(Emma's P.O.V)

I don't understand, Axel kisses me and all the sudden I know werewolves are real and that I'm one. Haha funny, but the sparks. Every time I touch Axel, sparks fly. That must mean Axel is my mate. My face grows hot with anger. "Tre!" I scream at the top of my lungs. I'm gonna tackle him!

By the look on Axel's face, I must have scared him. I just bolt out of the cabin. Just as I hit the last few steps, I shift. Axel just runs after me attempting to keep me calm. Looks like that is failing. I ignore him and try to find Tre's scent.

"Emma, calm down. Don't let your wolf take control of you." Axel soothes while examining my wolf in awe.

Sniffing didn't work, but it got so much better. I snap my head towards the barn where Tre is locking up for the night. Before he can shut the door, I pin him down making him face plant the barn floor. I towered over him.

"Get off me!" Tre yells, not know who's on top of him. He just struggles to get out of my grip.

A couple minutes later I'm being thrown off. My back hits a tree, making a yelp escape my mouth. Tre stalks towards me, now as a wolf.

"Tre, stop!" I hear Axel yell.

I try to get up, but I just fall to the ground. Axel runs up to my side looking almost sorrowful. He starts to pet my furry head. Tre smacks Axel right up side the head which must mean he shifted back to normal.

"What is goin' on?" Tre clearly not amused with what's going on.

"That's Emma, cain't you see?" Axel states rubbing his head.

I tried getting up again, but I couldn't move. I must have changed because I looked at myself and my clothes were tattered up. I just lay my head on the ground and close my eyes.

(Axel's P.O.V)

I pick Emma up into my arms. She tucks her head into my chest and falls asleep. I continue to walk to her room. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps. I walk up the stairs without any problem. I walk into the cabin and grab a blanket that is laying on the couch. I lay the blanket on Emma and head to her room.

I lay her down in bed and kiss her forehead. "I'm sorry Em, I really am." I leave the room and walk into the living room. "I'm gonna be headin' home." I say to Tre as he walks in.

"You know you cain't tell anyone what she is, right? As far as our pack is concerned, she's the last of her kind."

I shifted my weight from one leg to the other, the heals in my boots starting to bother me. "What do you mean last of her kind?"

Tre pulled me down the hall to his office. "Axel, look." he rubbed his face, annoyed with the sudden change. "Do you know anythin' bout our family at all?"

I shook my head, "I haven't been told much 'bout your family history."

"My aunt is from Antarctica." he pulled a large book from a shelf behind his desk and tossed it to me.

I read the title on the cover. "Legend of The Arctic?"

Tre nodded, "That was Alyssa's. Jake gave it to my mom before they left. My mom gave it to me when I moved in with Emma. She told me that it'd be safer here then at the pack house." I handed it back to him and he put it back in it's place. "It was known that Antarctica was were the first werewolves were born. They were hunted mostly because of their power. As far as any of us are concerned, Alyssa is human. She still radiates power, but there's nothing there."

"So what am I supposed to do then?"

"You tell no one. If you really wanna risk her safety, I'd suggest you keep quiet. We don't need her power fallin' into the wrong hands. Understand?"

I nod, "I promise I'll keep her safe." I leave, grabbing my horse from the barn.
