A week or two before Christmas, as we were gearing up for the carol singing competition, I was excited as hell because after a while I was going to be playing again or rather taking part in a competition. Practice, practice and practice was all I could think about and that's all I focused on.

It was Wednesday, the 19th of December, I had reached school early just to ensure everything was ready and in place for the carol singing competition. For nearly 2 hours I was running about the campus to get things set up. Finally everything was done right and we were ready to start. After the participants had arrived, we had them seated and waited for the judges to reach the venue so as to start the competition. A couple of moments later, the judges arrived and we began. After hours, I got some time to sit, relax and catch my breath. Just when I looked around to take a look and see if I knew anyone among the other participants, my eye caught this one amazingly, beautiful girl walk into the hall. Her long hair open, big brown eyes, the most breath-taking and awe striking smile of hers just blew my heart right out of the hall and onto cloud nine. The moment I saw her, my heart without a second spared whispered to me, "She's the one!" I was in love. I cannot believe that the kind of love, love at first sight, which I've heard and seen about only in movies, was actually what had happened to me that very moment.
The entire time, my eyes just wanted to stay glued because every time I looked at her, my heart literally skipped a beat and was beating in the most unusually amazing manner. Her smile literally shined brighter than the sun and her eyes were like two drops of coffee in a cloud of milk. I just couldn't help stop myself from looking at her and smile.
Throughout the competition, all that was running in my head was about how I would approach, introduce myself and get to know her. I kept playing the plot over and over again in my head just so I could make my first impression a perfect one. While her group had gone up on stage to sing, I was just absolutely amazed to see how one could be so perfect.
As the competition was coming to end, I put together all the courage to just go and talk to her. I went up to her group, she was there but when I turned to try to talk to her, words just didn't seem to come out. So instead of letting the opportunity go I turned to one of the other girls from her group and introduced myself to a couple of them. But all thanks to one of my friends, I ended up making a fool out of myself in front of her and her group. First impression went down the drain big time. Luckily I got to know a couple of her group girls so that way I could look her up on Facebook and get to know her. Two three days went past, I had just made a couple of new friends and I had just started to get to know them. But there was still no sign of her because I didn't even get a chance to know her name. So I knew that I would just have to wait.

On 24th December, Monday, after I had come back home from a tiring yet fun day at school, I had logged into my account to see if there were any sign of her. I saw one of her group girls online and started to chat with her. I had no clue that she was with her at her place. When she told me that she and a bunch of other friends were at her place, I jumped with joy and just couldn't hold my excitement that I finally found her. She then started to chat with me and we got to know each other and that's when it all began. That was the day when things literally flipped around for me.

We then started to chat every day, got to know each other, our likes, dislikes, hobbies, favorites and so on. We really got along, exchanged numbers, texted all day long, and became so close in less than a month. Though we had never spoken for the first three weeks after we got to know each other, I still remember how I felt when she first called and I heard her voice and had a long conversation with her.

It was the weekend, I was in my grandparents place, spending time with them and just enjoying a peaceful Saturday morning. I was texting her and we kept talking about crazy random stuff which just came to the top of our heads. We had become so comfortable with each other that we could literally tell each other anything and everything. A few seconds later, I could feel my phone vibrate and to see, it was her! She was calling and I was just so caught up in excitement as well as nervousness because I didn't want to screw up the first conversation like I had messed up my first impression. As I answered the call, the sweetest and humble voice said, "Hey!" and I was just speechless that I could not even reciprocate to that hey of hers. Somehow I got myself snapped out of the trance and said hello and we started to talk. That first conversation of ours went on for nearly an hour or two and it was just amazing. After talking to her, I literally felt out of the world. She was just so perfect and every single second all my heart kept saying was that she's the special one. She's my bug, my one and only. My everything, My life's gravity that keeps me grounded.
