Once in a Lifetime Bug

Etched in My Heart for Eternity- Chapter 6

Two months had passed; Bug and I had grown closer than ever. Talking had become a part of our daily routine without which the day would just be abnormal to us both. We would talk and tell each other about our day, be it a good or bad one. We hear each other out, understand and support each other more than anything. I've never felt this way with anyone else before and it's extremely hard to even describe how she makes me feel. With just her smile, my heart beats fast and slow at the same time, her laughter is the cutest thing ever and I fall in love with her every time, her big brown eyes are literally just so mesmerizing. No matter how many times I say how amazing she is, it's still an understatement to how incredibly perfect she is.

The next time I saw her, I decided that I didn't want to keep these feelings inside and also want to know what her feelings are towards me. From the last time I met her, all that was running through my mind was how I was going to confess my feelings to her, imagining how and what she would say and also how I would propose to her. For nearly half a month I kept rehearsing the things I would say and every day the things I wanted to say would change because of my nervousness and fear as to what she would say. I was never so nervous to tell a girl what my feelings were towards here and for the first time, I was literally shivering with nervousness and imagining all the possibilities of what could happen and what she would say, both positive and negative. I had sleepless restless nights just thinking about the day I would confess. Though I had already got a hint from her side that she has feelings for me I just wanted to know for sure. The first time I got a hint from her side that she does have feelings was when one of the evenings I was really depressed and was literally in tears, she supported me and despite her support I was so broken that words weren't even coming out. Just a few minutes later, I hear her and it literally unbelievable because she was in tears. I was so shocked because for the first time, someone was in tears and was hurt because I was in pain. Never in my lifetime did I ever have or hear someone in tears or hurt because I was in pain while I was always left alone in pain when in times I really needed someone. And that was the first hint that I got which showed me that deep down she cared and does have feelings for me just like I have for her. So I made up my mind to confess my feelings for her the next time I saw her in person and that day was going to be at an event which we both were part.

19th of February, the day everything changed. I never imagined that my life, my behavior, my character and personality, which no one could ever change, was going to change and to add change in a very big and drastic way. The night before 19th, I was just too excited and nervous. Excited because after a long time we we're both going to meet and spend time with each other and nervous as hell because I was going to confess and propose to her. Finally! It was the day. I was excited all night and didn't sleep. Morning I was up earlier than usual, got dressed and left as soon as I could. All throughout the way to the venue, all that was on my mind and was excited about was seeing her. On reaching the venue, more than focusing on practicing the songs and tuning my guitar, my eyes just had one face in front and in search for that beautiful face among the entire crowd. It was hers and that's all I was eagerly waiting to see. Looking, looking everywhere after a while I finally saw that amazingly cute and adorable smiling face of hers. Seeing the smile of hers, the feelings that scrambled up inside me was just speechless. The second she saw me as well, from then on neither could she nor was I able to stop looking or staring at each other. Though we couldn't get close, meet each other and hug at the start of the event we still kept looking at each other. Even when she was on the field for her event, she kept looking back at where I was just to see me. I don't know if that was out of consciousness or her feelings that were provoking her to look but it sure as hell just made me smile like a total goof. After a while, she got some time off to get ready for her next event so she came to meet me and talk to me. I decided not to hold back any longer and just use this as an opportunity to just tell her how I felt. Then I called my crazy friend, Allie, and explained everything to her about my feelings and that I wanted to confess and propose to her. So I gave her the chain that I got for Bug and told her to slip into her pocket without her knowing so it would be like a surprise. Allie then called Bugand they were talking and she kept looking at me. Then I saw Bug put something into Allie's pocket and saw her whisper something to Allie. And when Allie tried to slip the chain into her pocket without her knowing, she found out and refused to take it. So then both of them walked towards me with that gorgeous smile on her face, first hugged her, then she messed up my hair as usual and spoke to her before she would go to get ready for her event. At first since I was nervous I was talking and saying random stuff but I couldn't waste time as she had her events. Slowly I jumped into the main part of the conversation before she could say anything and go to get ready. So I first asked her how and what she felt about me and she didn't say anything but she just blushed! I was standing there completely awestruck! She looked as cute and adorable as a princess when she blushed. Then I just took the leap of faith and without thinking what she would say or think I said, "I Love You!" She was surely not expecting me to say that but neither did she react in a negative way as she had this unbelievably cute smile which made me smile more just looking at her after what I said. Before she could say anything and just so I don't seem like a total doofus, I asked her out. She was stunned; her face was red, blushing, like a literal red tomato. She put her head down and didn't say anything at first and every time Allie and I asked her what her answer was she said she doesn't know. She kept saying I don't know and I honestly didn't want to force her to say yes but neither could I stay without knowing what her feelings are. She had to go get ready so she went and Allie followed her into the ladies room. I don't know what Allie said or what they spoke but after 15 minutes they came out and Bug was heading for her event. I stopped her, took her to the side and asked her to just give me an answer, be it whatever but I just wanted to know how she feels and if she loves me as well. On asking her a couple more times just to see if she says something at all, she was getting delayed for her event so she blushed, literally shouted "Yes!" and ran away for her event.
After that, the feeling I had was just *WOW*! But something bothered me. One question that kept coming to my head was, "Did I force her to say yes? Was I being too pushy?" I didn't want her to be forced into it as love is never forced, but born within. But her smile was something that made me feel that she does love me and I waited for her to say it herself. I couldn't take my eyes off her that entire day. No matter where she went for her event, I kept looking at her and was smiling like an idiot! Though we couldn't spend time that day as we both had events, we still were together, looking at each other all throughout. At the end of the day, we both met, we hugged again, spoke for a while. Before she left, I said it again, "I Love You!" and again she just blushed and didn't say anything and this time I didn't want to keep asking her because I didn't want to force her. I held onto her hand and was holding it until she had to go. Letting go of her hand seemed like the hardest part of the day as every single moment was filled with pure love and affection. Saying goodbye wasn't easy but we hugged and we went our way.

This day, was the pinnacle of my life; the day that changed everything. And after that day, my life was never the same like before and I was happier than I ever was in my lifetime and it's all because of my Bug.
