It's been quiet the past day and a half. There's been stifled sobs crying kids calling for their mommys and daddys. In the Asia cage Jared and jelly have refused to say a word to anyone at all so I was left to my own thoughts. I was thinking about Henry, I wonder how he's doing, I wonder if he was killed yet. I got up to try and talk to Matt, but he was asleep on the ground. Becca was sitting next to him, with her knees hugged tight to her. She lifted a hand and gave a slight wave with a forced smile. I waved back, she probably wasn't in the mood to talk right now. I heard Amanda start to sob loudly in the next cage over. I heard Justin's voice. "Hey Amanda what's wrong? Justin asked, crouching down. Amanda stopped crying and wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands. "Ugh it just sucks. Holly and I have been friends ever since we were in third grade. We've been through everything together, even getting kidnapped and put onto this thing." She said tucking the sides of her brown hair behind her ear. "If you don't mind me asking how'd it happen?" Amanda sniffled and let her legs slump out on the ground in front of her. "The two of us were going clothes shopping for our Hollys older sisters graduation party. These two Middle eastern men walked up to us and put guns to our backs and started walking. We followed them and no one could see the guns, they hid them well enough. We got in their van and was taken to the nearby airport. We were among the first 20 on the plane. They've been going around collecting kids to drop off. You six were the last ones and then they repeat the process. Anyway, the worst part is they wouldn't even let us bring our shopping bags with us." Amanda explained. She made a frustrated noise. "Holly would want you to be strong for her." I heard kelly mumble. "What?" Amanda asked, everyone's eyes were on her. "I said Holly would want you to be strong for her. Now stop looking at me." Kelly said. "I know she would want me to be strong, and that's what I'm trying to do, it's just she was my friend and its painful to go through." She said, her voice quivering. "Youll get used to it." Becca said staring down at the ground. It fell silent again, not even Derrick had something to say, which surprised me a lot. The door opened and light came flooding in. Two terrorists and the translater walked in. "Hello children. You don't know my name so let's change that. I am Isoma, one of the best translators there are. I can speak 10 languages, and I am here to translate what they say for you." Isoma said to us. The older terrorist walked over to the Europe lever and pulled it releasing the cage into the sky. "You bi*ch you messed up my hair!" Amanda yelled at him as she tried to fix her windblown hair. Isoma started to speak a different language. After he was done speaking, the terrorist pointed his gun at her. Amanda screamed and covered her head as the terrorist laughed and the three of them walked away. "So much for being strong." Amanda said sitting back up. "It's a start." I said standing up. Jared was starting to feel a litter better, at least I think so, he was starting to take charge again. "Ok everyone we'll be dropping in exactly 26 hours. Tomorrow is the day we get dropped, we're gonna need to stay calm, and find a way out of the cage once we hit the ground." The lock fell off the cage and everyone looked over. It's been about an hour since the cage was dropped, they should be picked up by now. "Sandy, I need you and kelly to go eavesdrop. I'll make sure the others stay here. We can't overpower them, we'll all crash and die." Jared said. I nodded my head. I turned around to Jared. "What if I pulled all the levers releasing you all into Europe. You save the others and then you all find Henry." I suggested. "How would you get out?" Matt asked walking up to the bars. I shook my head. "I won't." "But the terrorists would kill you." He said arguing. "He's right Sandy you can't sacrifice yourself." Jared said. "Eh. Let the girl die." Derrick said leaning on the cage. He's nine and he was saying that. Uh I hate that kid. I rolled my eyes and I walked over to the door. "Sandy?" Becca asked me, earning my attention. I looked in her direction. "Is Sandy short for something? Or a nickname?" She asked curious. "Sandy is shot for Sandra." I told her. I didn't like my name. If sounded to formal for who I was. She nodded and I turned back to the door opening it a crack. "What! They landed in the Red Sea?" I heard one of them shout. They're English was terrible. "Yes, half of them drowned. They said if they don't get the next few then they would be after us." They second said in a think accent. There were about 8 terrorists in there, and Isoma. Another one spoke up. "Let's just kill them all!" At least that's what I think he said. I got scared. "No. We need to keep them alive so that we can stay alive." He said. I walked back and got into my cage. After I told them what happened they all gasped at the loss of half the Europe group. The next day, around the middle of the night I was still up. And so were a few others in the cages. Matt and I were sitting on the ground talking softly as we looked at each other. Soon enough we were the last two awake. "Sandy?" Matt called out to me. "Mm?" I asked him eating Kelly's left over food. "I haven't had the time to say this, and it's never been a good time, but you should know, that, I love you." Matt said nervously. I was quiet for a second before I whispered back. "I love you too, Matt."
