Amanda's POV

"Justin it's been days!" I yelled out in exhaustion. I was surprised I was even able to get it out. It was Tuesday, I think. And we've had no food or water, we wouldn't last much longer.

"We just need to keep going." Justin said with a raspy voice.

"We've been going for days!" I yelled as I stumbled on the dry, crack filled ground.

"Amanda, I want to stop, I really do. But if we stop, there's no way we'll be able to keep going after. This is our only chance." He said to me in an annoyed tone.

"I'm dehydrated and starving and you have the nerve to be annoyed with me?" I said ticked off.

"Amanda, news flash. We're all starving and dehydrated too!" He yelled out at me as he went into a coughing fit.

"But Justin- look, I'm sorry ok? I've just been without Starbucks for months now and I don't know how much longer I can do it." I whined as a single tear glided down my cheek. A little kid looked at it and I thought he was gonna kill me just to drink the tear.

"Come on don't cry, we just need to keep going Amanda." He said waiting for me so we could walk side by side.

"I don't have experience with this survivalist shit though, you do. You literally survived a sinking cruise ship on your own and now you're leading an entire group of ravaged kids. If you died, I don't think I'd be able to do it." I said to him.

"Amanda you don't want to be me." He said not taking his eyes off the land ahead.

"I do, I know you lost people, you lost that gay guy right? And that crazy bitch. I lost Holly, she was my best friend." I said to him.

"I never told you about Cole or Bella." Justin said to me confused.

"I know, I never told any of you this, Holly and I were taken by the terrorists only a few days before your guys. I remember hearing about the ship sinking on the news, and how your whole town was gathering for your lost friends funeral. I thought it was beautiful, and I've always wanted that unity in my town, Holly and I are from Kentucky, and our town has never been that unified, so, together. Where are you guys from?" I asked Justin as I was struggling to speak.

"We're from Arizona, a town called Little Leaf." He told me as a gas station came into view.

"Oh my god!" Justin yelled as we all ran, or should I say shuffled over to it.

"Stay here." Justin said as he walked up to he door and knocked on it, hoping to be answered by someone.

The door opened and a man that seemed to be in his 30's was standing there.

"Oh my god, you all look like you're in awful shape, what happened to you?" He asked astonished at our physical condition. I must look really bad.

"Can we please have some food and water, we'll explain after, we've been walking for days."

"Yeah, of- of course, please come right in." He said opening up his door as he rushed in to get us all food and water.

After we had eaten and drank, we were all feeling a little better. My white skin had turned very tan over the course of the few days, and same for Justin.

"We were kidnapped by a group of terrorists and separated into cages, labeled with continent names. We're the Australia kids. They dropped us down to be killed off slowly but we escaped before the terrorists got to us, please, they have to be near and we need to get to our friends. The best way to do that would to bring Me and my friend Amanda to an airport. Do you think you can do that?" Justin asked hopefully.

"Of course, I just- these kids will have to stay here on their own." He informed us.

"We know, they can do it. Trust me." I told him.

He told the kids about the propane tanks around the side of the station, and not to play with them because they're explosive, and same with the gas pumps.

Once the kids had agreed, we started to get ready to leave.

Justin was visibly excited to the point where he was almost jumping up and down. The smile across his face was unmistakeable.

"I can't wait to see my friends again! I just want this to be over! I just want to have a normal teenage life. I want to go back to eighth grade, the school year must have started a few weeks ago, because we were taken the day before school started, which means I'm 14, and so is Henry Becca Matt Sandy and Kelly. We all have early birthdays." Justin said to me.

"I have an early birthday too, I was taken on my birthday." Amanda told me.

"Well that's depressing." Justin said.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Amanda!" Justin yelled out.

"What?!" I yelled ducking out of habit.

"Nothing's wrong, I just had the best idea ever!" Justin yelled.

"What? By the way you get really loud when you're excited." I told him.

"I knowwwww! And you should totally move in with us once we get back! I mean you literally should! Because it'll be awesome and because since you're associated with us now, you Derrick and Jared will be targets too. And whoever Henry interacts with." Justin said.

"This is gonna be awesome!" Justin said walking to the car that the guy was already in.

"I can't wait to-" Justin was about to tell me something when machine guns went off and almost right after, the gas pumps exploded causing the propane tank to explode which destroyed the house and all the kids in it. The last thing I saw was the car getting sprayed by bullets as I flew through the air, the terrorists found us and killed the man and all the kid. I hit my head and passed out.

When I woke up, my ears were ringing and I remembered what happened. I got up and turned in circles, the wind was blowing strongly and pushing my hair all around my face and I was frantically searching around looking for Justin to wake him up. I was turning in circles which just messed my hair up even more.

I saw a person about 30 feet away from me, laying on their side facing away from me. It was Justin, his brown hair and gray shirt easily detectable. Finally! I found him. I ran over.

"Justin!" I yelled laughing in excitement. I found him I found him I found him!

When I pulled him all the way into his back, since he was on his side I started to shake him to wake him up.

"Come on dude wake up already, we need to drive to the airport ourselves the guys been killed." I said to him.

I looked down and saw that his arm was lying a few feet away from him, his eyes were closed and that's when I saw the piece of wood from the gas station that was impaled in his stomach.

"No!" I yelled out.

"No! No! No!" I yelled over and over again before standing up after wiping my eyes.

Justin was dead, Justin was dead and I was all alone. I started to hyperventilate as I turned in circles and looked at the devastation surrounding me. I was the only one that survived, me, Justin was dead and I was all alone. The last thing I saw was Justin's body as I collapsed to the ground hyperventilating and crying

I was alone, and there was nothing I could do about it.

I was alone, and everything was terrible.
