Chapter 17

Maya's P.O.V

I'm so happy I could die! My mate is just.... amazing. I smile as I walk him to his science class, hand in hand. Giving him a quick kiss on the lips, I dash off to my science class, where I find my sister/ Best friend Ally. But before I could step inside, I was grabbed from behind and shoved into a empty classroom. At least, I think it's empty... Taking deep breathes to calm myself, I search for the light switch, and when I find it, I switch it on. turning around, I notice I'm in Mrs Hirsts science room. I notice someone hiding under the table. I take a breathe to see if I can tell what it is. Demon, male, 17. Wait, I know that smell...... "Vahle?" I ask, hoping it isn't. The demon crawls out from under the table, and walks into the light. I gasp. It IS him. "hello maya. I said I'd see you again"  I shudder. " How did you find me? I thought you were banished! " "I was, doesn't mean I wasn't going to find my best friend" I cringe. It's true, we were best friends once, but that was ages ago, and I'd forgotten who and what he was. I've moved on with my life, but it's clear he hasn't. Taking a step back, I speak my next words with caution " why are you here? I've moved on with my life, you should too. Demons and Werewolves don't mix together, you found that out when the.... accident happened. I still have scars you know..." His eyes narrowed and his heart beat increased, a sign that he's pissed. Oh shit.
He began to walk towards me, not really looking where he was going. Just as he was in front of me, his arm brushed past a test tube of explosions (don't ask, it can be contained, unless the tube is dropped) I watched in horror as the test tube tumbled off the table, and landed with a crash on the floor. It was like I was in slow motion, I watched as the tube cracked and the explosions went off, I tried to call to Vahle to warn him, but it was too late. Or at least, I thought it was.
