The Top Ten- Chapter 2

"Alright Cadets! Today's session is hand-on-hand- combat! Everybody get a partner! You may begin!" The corporal yelled at us. Breakfast was over so its about 8 am in the morning, you were still hungry and sleepy. You sighed as you walked around looking for a partner. Mostly everybody got a partner, but then you saw a blonde haired girl just standing around waiting. Annie? You thought trying to get a better look. Walking towards her, it was Annie. You waved at her smiling.

"Annie! Want to be partners?" You questioned making her nod. she got in a stance getting ready to fight. Your smiling face turned into a serious yet scary look. Getting in a stance like her. You and Annie went in a circle walking slowly as you looked at her. She made the first move by trying to punch you in the jaw. You dodged, you uppercutted her with you left hand but failed. She grabbed your fist and punched you in the cheek with her other hand. You stumbled backwards but caught yourself from falling. Rubbing the bruised cheek, you thought of another move. You ran towards her punching her in the stomach and brought her down to the ground. Annie grunted, then she brought out a knife from her pocket. She flipped you over making your back hit the ground and her on top of you. She held the knife to your throat and gave you a glare saying 'stay on the ground or I'll kill you'. Your hair was covering your eyes as you did not want to show a reaction. You smirked. You quickly grabbed her hand  with the knife and pulled it to your right side. As to that, you brought your leg up making her flip over you. She was now on the ground with you on the top. She loosened her grip on the knife as you took it away from here. You used your other hand holding both of Annie's wrists above her head and used your legs to hold her legs down. She struggled breaking your grip but stopped as you brought the knife to her neck. Staying in that position for a little longer, your serious look turned back to normal.

"I win." You smiled at her as you loosened your grip from her and took the knife from her neck. You stood and stretched your aching arms. You let out out a deep breath as Annie got back on her feet as she stretched as well. You didn't noticed a group of people around you and Annie as they make comments like 'wow she beat Annie' or 'Y/N is really strong' . You shrugged at the crowd and walked to Annie handing over her knife.

"I had fun Annie. You were pretty strong. Lets doing it again some time yeah?" She nodded and put the knife back in her pocket. You spun around to see Eren, Mikasa, and Armin right in front of you with surprised looks. You look confused.

"Why are people giving me that look for? Did I do something wrong or something?" 

"You beat Annie. Thats what happened. She is really hard to beat in combat you know." Armin bluntly said. "Well I guess that Im the first!" You put your arm around Armin and Eren who are currently blushing. "Come on, Im hungry. Lets go to dinner now shall we?" You dragged both of them following Mikasa behind. 

Weeks later, we've been practicing on killing the titan by doing dummies of them. All we have to do to kill the titans is by cutting off the nape of the neck. It was hard at first but it got easier later on. Jean and Eren were competing on how many of the dummies they can tell. So far, none them won. Thats all because Mikasa and you were there to kill it before they did. It was hilarious seeing them argue with us. So Mikasa did her 'glare' making them stop. Anyways, today was the day they announce the top ten cadets. You were so excited that you almost killed Eren by screaming loudly. As you walked along side with everyone else, the list of The Top Ten was posted on the wall. You ran past them and looked at it. You smiled seeing your name in second place below Mikasa. You turned around seeing other cadets looking at it. You then spotted Eren.

"Eren! I got second place! How about you?" 

"I got-"  Jean cutted him off.

"How the hell did I lose to you by one place?! " He practically yelled. Here we go again. You thought sweatdropping. Eren then started calling him horseface and then they started fighting. Mikasa broke the two apart by smashing their heads together making a 'bump' sound. They started whining while rubbing the new bump on their forehead. You couldn't help but laugh at them. All 3 looked at you. You wiped a teary eye from laughing too hard.
