Previously from Chapter 2~
"Your name is Levi Ackerman, right? I'm looking for a man with the same name as yours. His name is, Levi Rivaille Ackerman. Are you him?"
The room fell silent. There was a long pregnant pause. Looking at him straight in the eye was scaring you. The look in his eyes is like the look a predator gives its prey. You looked back down staring at your lap as you started twiddling your thumbs. Hangi on the other hand slipped away from the room cause of Levi's look towards you.
The room was still silent. You gave out a sigh. You stood up and looked at him.
"Im sorry corporal for asking. "
Your shoes clicked on the floor as you were to exit out the room. When you opened the door not even half way, it shut closed. Levi closed it when he leaned on the door. You blinked and looked at him. He was still looking at you, but with a curious look. He walked towards you making you walk back. You kept walking back until your back slammed to the wall.
Levi was right there like 2-3 steps away from you. He put his hand on the wall next to you face and the other hand on the opposite. He leaned slowly down, you felt his hot breath on your face making you shiver. He stopped centimeters away from your face as he looked at your eyes. It was as if he could see your soul through them. Your face turned red at how close he was from you. But turned back to normal when he asked you something.
"Where have you heard that name Cadet?"
Your heart skipped a beat. Were you right? Was he really the man you were looking for all these years? Questions were floating in your head. You tried to slip away from him until he grabbed you on the shoulders.
"Answer my question Cadet. Where did you get the name" He was demanding an answer.
"You didn't answer my question Corporal. It isn't fair to ask a person a question when you don't give an answer to" Hesitating at first. You thought it over and soon gave up on it as he gave you a death glare.
"Im looking for someone with that name. That name is very important to me Corporal. My friend at the orphanage gave me his name on the day I left to follow my dream of becoming a cadet in the Scouting Legions. That name is... my fathers name"
You frowned remembering the goodbyes from Walter. Even though he was old, he was your only true friend you ever have. The other orphans were mean to you. They used to bully you or even beat you up, all just for fun. They would make remarks such as "Your parents left you because you are retarded and ugly" or "Why don't you get eaten by titans. Nobody wants you". Remarks like that would always make you sad. Remembering all those memories where making you on the verge of tears.
Still looking at Levi, he still had that stern look on his face, but it somehow softened a little. His hands dropped slowly from your shoulders to his sides. You watched his hands dropped to his sides and looked back at him. His right hand raised up to reach up your face. You flinched thinking that he was going to slap you. You closed yours eyes shut bracing for it. Instead of a slap, his hand cupped the side of your cheek. His touch felt soft and made you warm. Your eyes widened slowly seeing that the corporal wasn't going to slap you but touch your cheek. You saw the look he was giving you. It was....guilt? He slightly frowned but turned into a slight smile.
"You look so much like your mother, Y/N." He softly said.
You froze. Is he really...?
"A-are you-"
"Yes. You brat, are you really that clueless?"
You hesitated to speak. Your lips quivered. A tear slipped from your cheek but was wiped by his hand. More tears came one after the other like a waterfall. You flung your arms to him and cried in his chest. Levi stumbled back but caught himself. He wasn't the type of person to soothe people from sadness. But, it was his daughter after all. His daughter he left for 17 years. He sighed and stoked your hair.
