"You are going to run ten laps around the field then go to a station and on each station there will be something that you'll have to do for three minutes. You'll either have to do somthing like push-ups for the three minutes or plank, you will change to the next station after your three minutes. You groups will be....." After he finished talking we headed outside to the field.
I inhaled a deep breath at the thought of the cold wind hitting the side of your face. I loved running it always made me feel so free.
"Hey Bre." I knew that voice, the deep but relaxed husky voice belonged to the one and only Alec.
"What do you want Alec?" I asked not turning around. He turned me around and gave me a questioning look.
"How'd you know it was me?" I rolled my eyes at him.
"We've talked enough for me to recognize your voice."
"Oh."
"So what do you want?" I tilted my head to the side a bit.
"Nothing." He shrugged simply. I groaned. We continued walking towards the field.
"Oh um thanks for getting your mom to take care of Adriana." I muttered not really wanting to thank him.
"No problem. Oh yeah my mom wanted me to tell you that Adriana is alright and just sleeping."
"Okay thanks." I muttered under my breath.
"Okay everyone get into position!" The coach yelled. We got into position and waited for the whistle. The whistle blew and we were off.
I ran fast but not nearly as fast as I could not wanting to waist my energy. I looked beside me to only see Alec and everyone else behind. I continued my pace not wanting to push it until the last lap. Every one was quite far behind me except for a few guys and girls who were just a bit behind me. Alec was right beside me the entire time though. I'm now on my last lap so I put all I had in to it and ran as fast as I could. I left Alec behind for a bit but he caught up with me just a few meters away from the finish line.
My legs and chest were burning like fire but I forced myself to go faster. It seemed that Alec was losing his pace and was falling behind me once again.
I ran over the white line indicating that I finished. I jogged over to the side and sat down in the grass as I tried to catch my breath.
"Holy shit Bre! You are fast!" Alec yelled over to me as he walked over to me. I just glared at him as he's started to get on my nerves. I don't know what it is but he just seems to anoy me all the time.
"Shit Bre your like a bullet!" Tessa shouted. I looked to my right and there Tessa, Riley and Luca were coming over to me with big smiles on their faces. They sat down beside me and relaxed a bit.
"Thanks Tessa." I gave her a fake smile. She seemed to notice it was fake but then she shook her head the slightest bit, making me think I wasn't ment to see it.
"Were you just talking to Alec?" Riley asked with tint of worry in his voice.
"Yeah, so what?"
"He's bad news Bre, don't talk to him." Luca warned me. I just shrugged my shoulders and stood up to see what we had to do next. I didn't care about what they said about Alec because I was planning on staying away from him from the start anyways. Since he's my neighbor there is always the chance of him finding out that it's only me and the twins with no adults. I don't need anyone getting close to us since then there's the chance they would take the twins away from me.
"Come one the stations are about to start." I looked back at them and they just nodded there heads and got up.
_____
We had just finished PE and were heading over to the change rooms.
"Hey Bre what's your next class?" Tessa asked as she took off her shirt.
"Oh um I'm not sure. But Luca said I was in the same class as you." I made sure no one was looking and quickly threw my shirt off. I had so many scars from my mother on my back I couldn't count them. I shrugged my shirt and jacket on and changed into my jeans. I looked around and saw that nobody noticed my scars or anything so I put on my black boots and headed out of the change room. I went to my locker and put my PE strip in my bag. I took my note book, pen and a small pouch that contains my makeup so I could adjust it. I found the bathroom and got to work. I fixed up my makeup a bit and readjusted my scarf then left the bathroom.
On my way back to my locker Tessa found me.
"Hey where'd you go? You left the change room quickly."
"Oh I just had to fix my makeup." She nodded her head in understand ment. I dropped my bag off at my locker and then Tessa leaded us to the classroom.
------Last period------
I'm currently sitting beside Tessa and Riley. They were talking about some party that was going on tonight. I wasn't interested in going since I had to look after the twins especially now that Adriana is sick. I started drawing in my notebook as I waited for the end of class. I still have to pick up Keith from school.
"So Bre you in?" Tessa asked me.
"Huh?" I closed my note book and looked over to her with a puzzled look on my face.
"You didn't hear a word I said." Tessa pouted.
"Sorry." I shrugged.
"So are you coming to the party?" Oh that's what they were still talking about.
"No." I shrugged and took out my phone checking the time.
"Why not it'll be fun, plus it's like that party of the year which means there's gonna be cute boys there." She winked.
"No I'm not going. " I snapped. She sighed and looked back at Riley clearly giving him a look saying something like what's up with her? I didn't care since I have responsibilities to take care of. I grabbed my notebook and held it to my chest as I waited for class to be done.
"Ha look at that. They already don't want anything to do with her. She's so pathetic!" A girly high pitched voice laughed. I groaned as I knew the girl was talking about me and she was completely right. I made a mental note to scare the crap out of her within the week.
