Don't let them know

Chapter 2

"Bre! Bre! get up!! get up!!!" I groaned in annoyance at my little brother and sister. Deciding to have a bit of fun I slightly opened my eyes to see them jumping on the bed. In one swift motion I sat up and grabbed the two of them by their waists and threw them on the end of the bed. Before they could even squeak I started tickling them. The room filled with their laughter. A warm smile spread across my face at the sound of them laughing. It was like music to my ears causing me to laugh among them.

"Bre s-stop t-that!!" They both laughed out. Someone knocked at the door. I instantly stopped tickling them and headed over to the door. I looked through the peephole and saw the lady from the front desk. I opened it up and gave her a confused smile.

"You have twenty minutes to leave or you'll need to pay for another night." She snapped harshly. I sighed but nodded.

"Thank you we'll be out before then." I then closed the door behind her.

"Okay munchkins lets get ready to go." They nodded there heads and ran to the bag with their clothes, tooth brushes and brush. I helped them change and brush their hair then started getting ready myself as they were brushing there teeth. I quickly changed into my dark blue skinny jeans a black tank top and leather jacket since it was getting cooler. I brushed my long hair and let my natural curls hang lose. Once the twins were done brushing their teeth I brushed mine as they put their socks on. I quickly cleaned the room up and put my black toms on. I help Keith with his sweater and Adriana with her shoes then we were all ready to go. I picked up there cold hands in mine and headed back to the main office. I had given Keith the card earlier so I told him to give the card to the lady. She gave him a smile but then looked at me and glared. We went outside and I helped them in their car seats. I closed the door once I knew they were buckled safely in and got into the drivers seat. I turned the car on and since the heater was broken at the moment we had no heat.

"Are you guys warm enough back there?" I turned in my seat to look at them since we were still parked.

"I'm cold!" Keith whined. I smiled at him and took one of the blankets that were up in the front on top of his lap. He smiled up at me gratefully.

"Thank you." He smiled as he snuggled up in the blanket.

"Adriana do you want a blanket to?"

"Yes please!" She shouted. I gave her a stern look and she blushed.

"Sorry." She muttered.

"It's okay." I took another blanket from the front and put it in top of her like I did with Keith. They started to doze off so I started the car up and continued driving to Bridge Gate. I couldn't help but smile to myself as we were finally free of mum. I turned the radio on and started fiddling with it until I found a song I knew.

I sang along to the radio quietly so I didn't wake up Keith and Adriana. We stopped a few times to use the washroom of to eat. I only allowed them to each have one thing with sugar in it since I didn't need two hyper kids in the car with me. So they each had a small ice cream from the gas station. We had a healthy breakfast and lunch so I was happy. It was getting late and I knew they were getting hungry but we were almost there so I made them wait a little bit so we could at least eat in the town.

"How longer?" Keith whined.

"Not much longer sorry kiddos." I was getting hungry and I knew they were gonna start having a temper tantrum if I didn't get them something to eat fast. I let out a loud sigh of relief as the town came into view.

"We're almost there don't worry." I turned left then a few rights then the house came into view. It was quite the cute house, it had a porch and a little nice yard where the twins could play and there were some bushes around it like a fence so they couldn't get out unless the gate was open.

"We're here!" I let out a little squeal as it just became more real.

"Yay!" The twins shouted. I quickly parked the car and got out my purse, laptop bag, keys and phone. I got out of the car and went to help the twins.

"Bre!" Adriana wined and pouted.

"Aw baby you can't unbuckle your seat belt!" I leaned over Keith and unbuckled Adriana. I let her gather her stuff and while I unbuckled Keith.

"Get your important things that you really need and let's go." They quickly got their toys and stuff then hoped out of the car. They each grabbed a hand of mine and let me drag them inside. I locked the car first then opened the door to the house.

If was beautiful, I looked around the house with a big smile on my face. This is how a home should feel.

"Well what do you guys think?" I let go of there hands and looked down at them.

"Pretty!" Adriana squealed in joy.

"Cool!" Keith yelled. I was grinning like that cat from Alice in wonderland what was his name again? Oh yeah the Cheshire Cat that's it! I let the kids go find there room as I went to cook dinner. The lady said there should be some pasta left here and some sauce. I rummaged through the cabinets then I finally came across them. I took out a pot and started making dinner. Once dinner was done I decided to find the little munchkins.

"Keith, Adrianna where'd you go?" I shouted through the house. I heard a giggle come from the room second door to the left of me. I decided to check it out and to see who it was.

"Boo!" Two young voices yelled from beside me. I turned my head to the left and saw them about to run away. I quickly caught them causing them to giggle.

"Dinners ready munchkins!" I whisper yelled in there ears.

"Yay!" They both screamed out. I placed them back on their feet and followed the running figures down the stairs. I opened the kitchen door and saw them sitting on there chairs waiting for their food. I took out the plastic plates and put a little bit of spaghetti on each of their plates. Placed the spaghetti in front of them and a fork and let them dig in. I took a some spaghetti and put it on my own plate. I sat down and ate dinner with them. I just sat there and listened to them blabbing away with each other. This is how it's ment to be. Once they were done with there food I put the dishes in the dish washer and told them to run along to the bathroom to clean up. But what they didn't know was that they were actually going to have a bath. I know mean right. I ran after them and walked into the bathroom closing the door behind me. I locked the door and turned on the bathtub faucet. I waited for it to be warm enough and started to make a bubble bath for them. They looked at me with pouty faces.

"Aw come here." I said trying to get them to come over to me and give we a hug. They ran into my arms.

"I don't like baths Bre." Keith mumbled.

"I know Hun but you need to." I decided that since they weren't going to take off their clothes I started to pull Adriana's shirt off and put it in the laundry hamper. In the end I got both of them in the bath but now I'm covered in bubbles. Let's just say that they started to have some fun. I picked them up and put them on the bathroom floor. Before they could whine I wrapped a fluffy towel around each of them. I picked them up and brought them into there room. Luckily the people who were here before had two twin beds in a room to I gave them it. I put Adriana on her bed and Keith on his bed. I helped them into their pyjamas and into bed. I stayed with them until they fell asleep. I then snuck out to clean the kitchen and grabbed the boxes we packed out of the car. Once I was done I took a quick shower. I washed all the sweat off my body and stepped out of the shower once I was done. I changed into some pyjamas shorts and a tank top then climbed into bed. I don't know if the bed was extremely comfortable or if it was just because I'd been driving all day but as soon as I sunk into it I was out like a light.
