Starry Nights | Ross Lynch Fanfic

*Chapter 7*

"Ross, this is Kyle. The guy I was talking about." Riker said as we made our way towards them.

"Nice to meet you." Ross said as he shook Kyles' hand.

"You as well," Kyle said. "I've heard about you." Kyle glanced at me when he said that.

"So," Riker started. "I was thinking we could have a movie night. Is that cool with you guys?"

We all agreed and Riker asked me to go to the movie store to pick a good movie.

"My car is at my house, I walked here." I said to Riker.

"I'll give her a ride." Ross and Kyle said at the same time. After, they kind of stared at each other and then looked at me.

"Uh, I think I'll go with Ross." I said as I already started walking to the door. Things are awkward between Kyle and I, now that we apparently 'never broke up.'

When I put my hand on the doorknob I heard Kyle say: "Okay sweetie! I'll see you when you get back!"

"I'm not your 'sweetie'!" I yelled back at him. Ross gave me a confused look.
"Don't ask." I said as I walked out to Ross' car.

"So what type of movie are you thinking of?" Ross asked as he got in the car.

"I'm not sure yet, I guess we'll just have to see."

Ross agreed and started on our way.

"We're here." Ross said as we pulled into the parking lot of Family Video.
We walked inside and I instantly went to the gumball machine. I checked my wallet and realized I didn't have a quarter.

"Hey, Ross, do you have a quarter?" I asked as I turned to him.

"Seriously?" He chuckled as he looked towards the machine.

"Yeah, seriously. Now do you have a quarter?" Annoyance and anticipation clear in my voice.

Ross rummaged through his wallet and pulled out a quarter. "Here," he said as he handed it to me.

"Thank you!" I yelled as I ran to the machine and Ross went looking for movies.

I slipped the quarter into the machine and watched as a purple gumball came rolling down. I grabbed the gumball out of the opening and I looked at the poster on the machine.

"Ross! Ross!" I yelled as I ran over to him.

"What?" He said, laughing a little.

"Look!" I raised the gumball up to his face.

"Mary, it's a gumball." He said.

"But it's purple." I stated back.

"And?" He said.

"Watch this," I said as I walked away from Ross to the cashier.

"Hi, how may I help you?" Said that cashier with a bright, fake smile.

"I have a purple gumball." I said back as I showed it to her.

"Okay, go pick your free movie and when you're ready come to me."

"Thank you!" I said as I went back to Ross with a smirk on my face as I plopped the hard candy in my mouth.
"Boom." I said in his face and then walked down the aisle looking for a movie. I heard Ross chuckle as he followed behind me.
