𝐈 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐘 that Dalilah was somehow able to acquire (then randomly shoved in my hands,) and thought about what I was going to wear it with. After all, Jackson's jersey is pretty big. But since this was just a game, I decided to throw it over some sweats and tied up the remaining length of the jersey.
I grabbed my small purse and keys, and made my way to the car.
Leading up to the school and student parking, it was packed like I've never seen before in my life. There were cars stretching for miles trying to get into visitor parking or anywhere nearby just for this game. She seriously wasn't kidding when she said that this was an important game.
I pulled into an empty spot I was lucky enough to find and waited in the car until Dalilah gave me a definite response as to where she was.
All of the sudden, I see her skip up to my car all giddily wearing school gear from head to toe. She quite literally looked like the school store threw up on her.
I got out the car with an intrigued smile. "You look... interesting." She laughed loudly and threw her arm around me as she began guiding me to the gym. "Very school spirited," is what I meant to say initially.
"Good! That's exactly what I'm going for! SGA is giving out Dunkin gift cards to the most school-spirited people. I can't keep paying $6 for a matcha latte," she groaned.
"So what happened to making your own matcha from now own?" As she so loudly declared a few days ago. Her eyes veered off tho the side and she had a little guilty look on her face. "... It just doesn't taste the same when I make it!!" "Yeah you're done," I laughed.
We had merely approached the outside of the gym when we heard the loud music and all this noise.
"Is Owen already here?" I asked her. She nodded her head. "Reluctantly, but yes!" We swiped our student ID's to get past security as we walked through the opened doors to the gym. "I would think he would be happy to watch his mate play, no?"
"Well, he is but he's also really stressed about his chem test tomorrow, so he brought his text book and notecards to study."
"Considering all the screaming and loud noises we're about to sit through, I can't imagine how he's going to be able to focus."
"Trust me, Owen can do anything he puts his mind to. And that's why he's the Valedictorian." I hummed proudly in agreement.
We finally got to the doors of the gym and for whatever reason, my heart was racing now.
