Chapter 9- The Phantom Sixth Man

YONAGA'S PoV

I was sitting in the SC room doing some paperworks along with Sei, it has been months since our confession and we have made it official to everyone. I still try to hold back laugher everytime I think back to their terrified expressions when we told them that we're "dating", 'well being called an official couple is better than being called a set up marriage couple I guess...' I thought and smiled to myself as I finished signing my name on the last of the papers. I then grabbed the stack of papers off my desk and took them to Sei's desk where he was sitting.

"Hai, that's the last of them," Sei nodded at me as I placed the stack of papers on his desk.

"Arigato Yona, I was just finishing myself too," he stamped the last piece of paper as he said that and placed it along with the other papers in his stack. I took a quick glance at the clock and realized that club activities have already started. Even though we already got first in Zenchu doesn't mean we can slack off, there's still a butt load of training to do.

"Sei we should get going, we're late for club," He nodded at my statement and stood up and grabbed his bag from the couch, I did the same and we walked out of the SC room together and locking the door behind us. We started walking towards the gym and on our way there, Sei suddenly spoke up.

"Yona, what do you think of our team so far?" I thought about it for a moment before replying.

"Our offence is off the chart and defence is pretty good too but we are too straight forward, all we do is attack, in my opinion I think we need a more diverse team or a diverse team member that can totally change the flow of the game,"

"Something like a sixth man eh?" I glanced at him and nodded.

"Yes I guess something like that... But just where do we find someone like that?" I stated my thoughts out loud as we continued our way to the gym.

We walked into the gym to hear sneakers squeaking on the floor and basketballs bouncing here and there. I walked over to Satsuki and Sanada coach and set my bag down on the bleachers. They smiled and Satsuki waved when she saw me.

"Otsukale Yoh-chan," she greeted with a warm smile and I smiled back.

"Otsukale, how's practice so far?" I asked and she showed me her clipboard with all her notes on it. I read the notes swiftly and thanked Satsuki and handed it back to her. 'They have improved, especially those 4, but that can be a problem by itself if it's not handled right...' The coach seemed to notice my expression and he asked me.

"Is there something wrong Yonaga-san?" I looked at the coach and nodded.

"Hai, I was just thinking that if those 4 keep improving at the same rate they are in now, it might be more stressful for them to play later on in the year," Shuzo-san who was also standing beside me looked at me in confusion.

"What do you mean by that Yonaga?" I answered him with a small frown.

"As you know already our team is mainly focused on offence and playing fast paced games, but if we keep doing that those 4 are going to be lacking what is you can say the most important element for a game, stamina," they seemed to come in realization at my words because they both started frowning like me too, "a perfect example for this statement is look at the 4 compared to the rest of the group, they are sweating and breathing more heavily. It has only been 20 minutes and they are already in a fatal position, another con for this is that their body is not keeping up with their high skill levels, if they tend to put too much pressure on a certain body part, they could end up doing some serious damage to it," their frown grew even darker at my words, 'this is really bad, we have to find a way to prevent this from happening...'
