Trace Of Innocence

"Finally..." I said as we: Niall, me, Ben and Skye and Jen lay out on my bed after it all.

"Don't they ever get tired of collecting gossips?" asked Skye.

"Guess they don't" said Ben as he put his arm around Skye's shoulder.

"Glad it's over" I said looking at the ceiling and around my room. It felt good to be home.

"Yeah..." Niall said, "And my princess is safe with me." As he too, puts his arms around me and give me a hug and a kiss on my forehead. We stay cuddled on the bed when someone knocked on the door.

"Sweet heart?" It was mom. She came in and "Another press interview, down stairs." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm asking the same question. Again?" said Skye. I can sense the exhaust in her voice. Not that she's been interviewed. But she's keeping Ben company. Day and night. She hasn't had a good night sleep in many nights.

"And the Police are here. Again." Shouted dad from downstairs.

"But we already told, all of them what actually happened." Said Jen.

"No choice. You have to go." And mom pulled us out of bed and we had to follow her down stairs.

There were two police officers and a detective seated around the table when we went down stairs.

"Mrs. Hancock as I remember?"I questioned as I shook hands with the lady detective.

"You have a good memory Miss Storm." Said Mrs. Hancock.

"Guess I have..."I muttered as we sat on the chairs

"Anything new?" asked Jen

"Well, it seems as if some of the team is still on loose" said Mrs. Hancock.

"Dammit" said Niall stomping his fist on to the table. His anger is clearly seen in his eye in a rage of fire.

"But we can get to them if you help us." one of the cops said.

"What? We have already told you all, haven't we?" I said. This is crazy. What more can we say? Create a fairy tale?

"Never mind. Just give us the details again." Said the other cop who was ready to record with a recorder. And the other was with a note book.

"There was this mansion in the middle of the Forest. All misty and dark. All rooms are named in numbers and there is one room which is highly secured. That's the room we were kept." Niall said trying to remember more.

"Oh. And the room we were locked up was in the west side of the house." I said suddenly remembering.

"Pathetic. You had time to find directions?" Skye raised her eye brow with the expression "dafaq" on the face.

"The sun rays only came through the cracks by evening time." I told. But then I noticed that Ben has been silent all the time

"Nice" said Mrs. Hancock "Is that all?"

"I guess so. Right?" said Niall.

"No." said Ben, who's been silent all the time. "There's more."

"What?"All three of us, me, Jen and Skye said together with that horror tone in our voices. What's that thing we didn't know?

"Go ahead" said Mrs. Hancock and nodded to the two cops to make things ready.

"There's more you should know" he said. "It was since, the day you slapped me in the cafeteria, Meli. And the anger grew...."

"Ben? Are you OK?" asked Skye, not sure whether her boyfriend was fine.
