Skye's POV

I got ready for school as soon as I could because I've over slept. I should stop staying half of the night texting with Jason. At least make him understand. "Skye!!", yelled my second brother from the kitchen. "One second!", I replied as I was applying my thin layer of makeup. When I went downstairs Jason was already there having a chat with my brother. He looked great wearing his plain white t-shirt and tight black jeans. "Good morning love." He greeted me with a warm smile spread wide on his face and a cute kiss on my cheek. I smiled and looked at him.

"You look great today." I said. He really did.

"So do you. As always." He replied. It was nothing much but my denim skirt and a sequin blouse.

He drove me school with him and on the way, we met Demi and Amy walking with their bag packs hanging on their backs busily chatting of something. Let me guess, last night's show. "Stop the car Jay" and I pointed towards the girls. So he slowed near them.

"Good morning ladies!" I said through the window.

"Good morning!" the chanted with huge smiles spread across their faces like freshly bloomed lilies. Too cute.

"Hop in" Jason said and we drove school.

Jason parked the car in the parking lot and we entered the school building. Dem and Amy went on talking about the last night's show (which they are so crazy of) while I remained silent as we walked towards our lockers. There we met Meli, but different today. She wore high waist demin shorts and a baggy t-shirt quoting "PAYBACK". I wonder what's on her mind. But that's not all. Everything has changed from her clothing to her looks. She's smoky eyed her lids, darkened her lashes with A LOT of mascara and covered her lips with a darker shade of lipstick and her hair was messed up giving her a hipster look. She hasn't worn this much of makeup to school before, ever. But she looked cool, I must admit. But under all that, her eyes looked baggy and were red.

"Good morning guys!" she saw us coming and walked towards us.

"What's up with the new looks Mel?" asked Dem. That was the exact question running in my mind.

"Oh nothing. Just thought of changing. You know?" she said with a creepy smile like she had some secret inside.

"And what about the red eyes?" I asked looking at her eyes. Yep they were sure red.

"Crap! You saw them?" she replied in a shocked way and ran to her locker and looked eagerly at her eyes through the mirror.

"Duh? We can stupid. No loads of makeup can hide your red tired eyes, stupid!" Amy said and gave Meli a little slap on the shoulder.

"Don't say that you cried all night Meli." Said Dem

"I- I" stammered Meli. So we knew she did. But why?

"Did he call you again?" asked Amy with that furious look in her eyes.

From "He" she might be referring to Ben.

"Ya" she replied lowering head and eyes on her red converse.

"What did he tell you?" Asked Dem and Meli held her phone towards us.

"What the hell are we supposed to do with this?" asked Amy with her lips turning into a duck beak. That's what she does when she's confused. Then Meli said with her face filled with a sly expression "I- Recorded it. Ignore my voice and enjoy the conversation ladies. Key words - Slut and Baby Prostitute."

The three of us listened to the conversation with a lot of loud inhales and huge eyes. He's being so rude.

"Why would he?" I asked.

"Ass holes don't have anything called feelings." Meli replied as soon as I asked the question.

"Meli? What's gotten over you?" asked Amy in shock. Meli haven't called Ben like that anytime. She loved him always even though he left her. She always hoped well for him even though she felt bad of herself. She kept on hating herself of not being a good girlfriend but still loved Ben for keeping her happy.

"I decided to move on. I don't deserve him. What's the use of loving some guy who calls you a slut and accuses you of sleeping with guys you never know." She said. "And now I'm a new me!" a wide smile spread across her face and it brighten up her cheeks. I'm so happy to see her so happy again.

So went to class talking about all sort of girly stuff. And then there he was, Ben with his gang, right next to my seat.

"Hey Skye" he said. I got to admit that, even though he's now become Meli's enemy, he's still my best guy friend and Meli is all ok with it. "Hi" I smiled. He was with a gents scent bottle in his hand and when Meli passed by him he covered his nose with his hand and said "Yuck! What's that gross smell?" he said eyeing Meli and high-fived one of his mates.

But surprising Meli, replied a burn. "oh yeah. It came to my nose too. I think it came from you Ben. Better spray some of that perfume over you before it pollutes the clean air." She crushed it.

Everyone in class was like "Oohh". Then Ben snorted out a insulting smile and turned to Meli. "Really bitch?" he asked.

"Ya! Douche bags smell like that. And do you know Ben? Shitty smells cannot be hidden by expensive perfumes. So does being a fuck." She said in a total calm way. Say, Meli HAS changed. She's never spoken a word before when Ben bullies or insults her but stare at her book with tears streaming down her and drenching on to the pages.

"Wow.." one of the guys whispered. Then Ben opened his mouth to say something but Meli held her hand and said "Mind saying that to me late? I really don't wanna hear your crap right now."

For once, she made him totally speechless. I remember her yesterday, crying in the washrooms because Ben said her something. But today, she burns him like a queen. People can change if they try.

Meli stood up and went over to his desk and towered over him. " I almost forgot", she said , " should've given this to you like AGES ago" and she held up a necklace with a "B" tattooed on it.

Ben looked astonished as she held it up to his face. "You- still have that?" he stammered.

"Correction, 'HAD' it" she said. "Guess yours in the trash or down the toilet." Then she bent down and took a grab of his hair from the back and her face inches away from his. She move forward and I guess she's looking deep in to his eyes for one last time.

"I'm letting you go." She said and gave him a kiss on his cheek. After that she moved her lips over to his ear and whispered " Bye bye Douche B" and went back to her place.

"That was so bitchy" said Demi with a sarcastic smile on her face.

"I know right?" Said Meli like a queen.
