Emma's POV

Wow. Just wow.

I never thought Meli would ever get over Ben ever. She loved him so much. Something really huge must have happened between them. Who would love a guy with all of her heart for two years after the breakup? Meli did. Until today. She's really changed.

But it's really ok! It's because tomorrow, Saturday the 13th of September, is Meli's birthday!! And she doesn't have a clue that a huge plot is being carried out to organize a surprise party by her parents and us. Everything is ready except our cloths. Which means, shopping mall, here we come! The last bell rang and the four of us gathered near our lockers.

"Let's go!!" Amy chorused in her high pitched baby voice that we all laughed.

"Go where?" asked Meli. We still haven't told Meli about the shopping trip as she doesn't know about the party.

"To the mall duh?" said Skye.

"To buy something for the party?" said Amy.

"What party?" poor Meli. She's trying so hard to know about it. I frowned at Amy. We weren't supposed to let her know.

"Umm... my parent's anniversary party" I quickly covered up with a lie. Phew! That was close.

"Oh really? Wonder why mom didn't even tell me... Oh well, I didn't go shopping in quite a while. Let's go!!" so she agreed much to our relief. Whatever the secret plot we carry out, we never drop anyone on a shopping trip.

Meli's phone rang that moment as we when out of the school building. But we (at least me) noticed the difference.

"Um... Meli? Can I ask you something?" I asked after she was over with the call.

"Ya sure."

"What happened to your ringing tone?" I asked curiously. For the past two years her ringing tone has been the same one. That's the chorus of "You belong with me" by Taylor Swift. But today, it's the chorus of "Love myself" by Hailee Steinfed.

"What about it?" asked Skye without a clue.

"Didn't you notice? She has changed it after two years." I exclaimed.

"I thought I told you guys that I've changed." Meli frowned. "I've changed not just by thought, but every single detail about me from my clothing to my playlist. I downloaded a whole new playlist this morning, even Bad blood." She said with a sneaky smile. Our jaws dropped when we heard she actually got "Bad blood" since she never liked Taylor Swift even though her ringing tone was one of her songs.

"Okay.... Finally more tears from Meli babe!" Amy squealed and hugged Meli. Sweet sight to see. Then I and Skye too wrapped our arms tight around them and here we are having a group hug in middle of the street. Nothing embarrassing to a crazy bunch like we are but still.

Soon we were at the mall and started to shop. Meli thought it serious and started choosing dresses and all. But we made her buy an outfit to show out her inner hotness (wink)! So each of us bought cloths after a long mini fashion show we had our selves in the stores. We made Meli buy a black leather jeans and a sleeveless hot pink sequin top in which she looks so hot and bad ass. Amy bought a floral mini skater dress. I got a tight leopard printed skirt with a matching blouse and Skye got a pair of ripped jeans with a high waist long sleeve silver top.

"Geez! Isn't this like too much for an anniversary?" asked Meli. Poor thing. Doesn't know that it's even her birthday tomorrow.

"It's perfectly fine. It's nothing formal. Just fun and enjoying. Like Grown-ups movie." I said without taking it serious.
