If we met again...

Chapter 9: There's no buddy like a brother

That night while I was doing homework Jay texted me
Jay: We need to find this Harry boy!
Me: I don't know anything about him except his name and his school
Jay: Ari you idiot. What school does he go to?
Me: He's a Ruddy! There's no way we'll get into that school
Jay: Well Teachers stay behind after school don't they? He must take the bus home or something. We've got free revision time last period on Monday we'll go to Rudstonville and wait outside
Me: Jay we're not gonna ambush my brother!
Jay: I know! Don't worry we'll just ask him some questions
Me: Jay if you turn up in your black hoodie then I'm gonna turn around and go straight home
Jay: you're no fun
Me: don't worry we'll jump somebody ;) how about Ruby lol
Jay: I gtg sorry bye
Well that was weird.

Monday at lunch me and Jay made our way to Rudstonville Private school. We took the bus. It was just us so i sat right at the front and Jay sat at the back. He was laid down in a cleopatra position.
"All hail King Jay, king of the Public Transport!" And then he did this hilariously dance. I laughed so hard I fell off my seat.
Once we got there we had half an hour left so Jay got a packet of crisps out of his backpack.
"You know..I think I'm gonna break up with Ruby." He said
This shocked me. "What? I thought things were turning good?"
"No not really. She barely ever speaks to me it's like she doesn't like me anymore and to be honest I don't really like her anymore."
"Aw Jay.." I didn't really know what to say.
I tried to take a crisp but he moved the packet.
"Hey! I wanted one!"
I snatched the packet off him.
"Hey!" He yelled.
He chased me around, both of us laughing. Then I stopped against a wall he stopped in front of me. He leaned in, his arms snaking around my waist. Our lips were just a finger space apart. It was the perfect moment.
BRRRING BRRRRING
THE STUPID BELL RUINED IT.
We both pulled apart looking at the ground.
"Hey I see Harry!" I said
We both waited until he came to the gate.
"Hey Harry!" I said
"Oh hey! Ariana right? What are you doing here?"
"Well I kinda need to talk to you about something..this is Jay by the way."

"So you're saying that...you're my sister..?" Harry asked sat across me at a Cafe
"Yes I know it's hard to believe but-"
"Oh I believe you! It would probably be our other brother Toby who doesn't believe you"
"Toby.. I want to meet him." I insisted
"Wow slowww down girl I've already told Toby this and he doesn't believe me."
"What do you mean? You've already told him..you already knew?" Jay asked
"Well I found a photo of me Toby and a girl who looks a lot like you. Dad said you were just a family friend but now we don't talk."
"Yeah well they sure do talk, he called my mum in on Friday."
"Really? Well when he came home on Friday he looked really weird. And when my step mum asked him what was wrong he said nothing."
"Step..mum.."
"Ari you already knew remember?" Jay said
"Yeah but I didn't know for sure he was my dad."
"Ari can I let you in on a secret?"Harry asked "well Gemma and Dad have been fighting for a while.. I think they might split up really.."

We exchanged numbers and planned to meet up again on the weekend to try and plan something. It was dark out so Jay walked me home. We said nothing. Then we stopped at my house.
"Ari are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine..thanks so much for everything Jay you really are a great friend."
"Anything for you Ari."
I smiled and next thing I knew we were kissing.
"Night Ari."
"Night Jay."
