BROKEN PIECES
Hey guys... so this is my very first story. I know it probably sucks but tell me what ya'll think. Be free to share any of your opinions or ways to improve the story. And I'll try to update as often as possible. So yea, ENJOY!
Iris's POV
It's raining on May 19 as it has been for the last three weeks, here in the small town in Kihei, Hawaii... staring out my window I could see each and every raindrop falling through the air. Today is my 16th birthday... and the day my dad disappeared eight years ago. It's been 8 years without a father. Eight long, mysterious years not knowing where Eric Blackwell, my father, went. He left on my 8th birthday leaving nothing behind but my present... a one of kind, silver locket, with my name, Iris, in the center, surrounded by mini emeralds.
A knock on my door causes me to jump in my seat. "Come in." I say. My brother, Jeremy, emerges from behind the door. His rich caramel complexion glistening in the light and his strong yet gentle sweet face is finally visible. Jeremy is 18 just a little over two years older then me. He has blond hair and fascinating dark green eyes. "Hello... Earth to Iris!" He says. " Oh sorry. What's up?" Before he could answer, Peter, my little brother, stomps into my room. "Mommy wants both of you downstairs now!" Then he stomps back downstairs with his bright red curls flopping everywhere. Jeremy turns to me laughing, "That's a lot of noise coming from such a as little person." I laugh. "Yea it is... well you heard him let's go downstairs!" Dreading to see what mom wants we begin to make our way downstairs.
So the first chapter was pretty terrible... what did u guys think? I need opinions.
