The gift of a friend

I woke up early anticipating this day will turn out great. It's really true that every day is a different beginning to start anew. Just like yesterday, I have received a blessing of an unexpected new friend. Somehow it lets me think that there are so many reasons why I should smile and enjoy every little things which reminds me that despite the loneliness i feel, there's so much reason for me to appreciate life and continue living.

Miracles, even how small and big they are, are everywhere around us and are happening in our daily lives. It's up to us if we acknowledge them and be grateful to our Mighty Creator. even Most often than not we tend to focus to into our problems that we missed out to appreciate the great things that happen in our way. The moment we open our eyes is one of those gift that often we forget to remember. The warmth of the sun the we still enjoys, the caressing breeze of the wind, the melodic humming of the birds, the laughter and innocence of the children, even the rain that pours it quenches the thirst of fields and vast lands, all of these we enjoy for free. This is how lucky we are. With these thoughts in my  mind I started my day with a big smile after saying my prayers to finally begin my day.

It's funny how i just realised all this years that i trapped myself in solitude and sadness. However, it's better to be late than never.

I make my bed, prepare my uniform and take a bath. As i step out after my bath my phone beeps telling me that I receive a text. I'm sure it is Drei, and so I open it and I'm surprise to that's it's from an unknown number.

Good morning! Have a wonderful day...

Then it occur to me that aside from Drei i have no one who knows my number aside from my parents and Matthew. So I immediately save his number under the name of Matt.

to: Matt

Same to you. God Bless :)

I change to my school uniform and head to the dining to have my breakfast when another succeeding beeps from my phone makes me stop and see that it's from Matt and Drei.

Do want me to fetch you?

From: Drei

Good morning Eli. Are you ready?

I decided to reply to Matt first since I know Drei won't mind if I text him back later.

to: Matt

Thanks but I already have a ride going to school. See you at school.

to: Drei

Good morning, too! I'm about to have breakfast and I'll be ready to go.

I immediately finish my breakfast and brush my teeth for anytime soon Drei will arrive.

Take your time. BTW, I'll be minutes late because Charm overslept and I'm still waiting for her and then we'll head there right away.

After receiving the text of Drei I suddenly remember that I might take his time that he should be using to spend his time for his Girl friend. How I forget that aside from me, my Best Friend has now a love  life. As much as I want to spend some time with him I want him to be happy. At least one of us has finally experience the thing called love. So I quickly compose a text to Drei regarding my ride to school.

Thanks Drei and don't worry about my ride. I have ask someone to take me to school instead so that you don't need to rush here and save time by heading to school from here.
