Keegan in Steve's Kingdom "The Nexus"

We all confidently stepped out of the kingdom gate. And guards flanked us from both sides, keeping the invading monsters at bay while we exited the Kingdom territory.

"You know that really ain't necessary, I can defend myself!" Jerald snapped.

"Don't be ridiculous!" Elliot says, "Would you rather get injured before we even really begin our quest?!"

Jerald says nothing, just looked glum as he stares at the monsters.

Finally after what seems like hours we left the King Steve's Kingdom.

"Okay stay sharp everyone!" King Steve said.

"Well where do we go?" I asked.

"Hang on let me try to remember." Elliot said.

I saw that Jerald was rolling his eyes, and Codie and Shella both exchanged murmurs, only Kailey and Holly seemed unfazed by the delay. They were both waiting patiently.

"Ah, now I remember!" Elliot said, "We go this way!" and Elliot points to a grove of densely wooded trees.

"Okay let's go!" The King said. So we all set off into the forest.

I can't help but feel a bit nervous as we get deeper into the forest, as it gets harder for the sun to penetrate the dense leaves and branches. Hours later and we're still exploring in this long dense forest.

"Man, how long does this forest last?" Shella asked.

"It shouldn't be much longer." Elliot reassured.

Just as soon as he said that, the forest was starting to thin. It was not long until we finally cleared it.

"Aw that was boring, we didn't even encounter a single monster!" Jerald said, looking annoyed.

"Our goal isn't to seek out monsters, our goal is to get to the Nether." King Steve said.

"Well it still would have been cool." Jerald muttered.

"Anyway!" trying to change the subject, "Where to next Elliot?" I asked.

"Well we need to go north west until we run into a tall mountain." Elliot says as he takes out a compass. "so... this way." he says pointing north west.

"Okay let's go!" King Steve said and we all set off again.

The journey from here to the mountain was mostly uneventful. Soon we finally reach our turning point. Just then I realized how late it was. The sun was already setting.

"Hey guys its getting dark, we might wanna make a shelter for the night." I say.

"Your right," King Steve says as he looks at the sky.

"I have an idea!" Holly said, "We can dig a little hidey hole in the mountain face. I've done this with my sister once."

Kailey nodded in agreement.

"Alright! Sounds great to me! Holes are my specialty" Jerald exclaimed. "Step aside everyone!" And in no time at all Jerald started digging up rock after rock until we were standing in front of a huge hole with a rocky archway!

I was awestruck, soon we all started applauding Jerald's masterpiece. I could see that Jerald was blushing a little.

Then we all went inside and plugged up the hole.

"Sorry folks we don't have any beds in this establishment Jerald Joked as he placed down a torch.

As I finally calmed down. I realized I was really hungry. I was going to reach into my pack, but then I realized that in my haste I forgot to bring any food with me. "Dang it" I thought out loud.

"what's the matter?" Elliot asked.

"I forgot my food." I said.

"Don't worry. I brought enough food for everyone!" Elliot said.

"Oh that's quite thoughtful." Codie admired.

"Thanks." Elliot said shyly.

"Well let's eat then I'm starving." Jerald said.

"Okay" King Steve agrees.

Quickly Jerald places a small stone table in the center of the room. Once again we all ate happily, "it may not be as luxurious as King Steve's Royal Dining room" I think to myself. "but it's still pretty nifty"

Soon we're all done eating. With a full belly suddenly I'm really tired.

"Alright good night everyone!" King Steve said.

"Good night." I say and I collapsed on the stone floor and fell asleep.
