• Jessie's POV •
The first day of school was over. I decided to walk home. When I got home I got a call from Leyla.
Phone convo:
L: "Hey girl, I must've missed you cause I didn't see you anymore after school?"
J: "Yes, sorry I decided to walk home. Clear my head."
L: "What happened?"
J: "Well, did you see that new boy Nate?"
L: "Umh who didn't." She said laughing.
J: "Ahaha, well he sat next to me in most of my classes and we talked and I showed him where he should be and stuff. But Justin acted really weird. Like I waved at him and he just looked down and stuff."
L: "Someone's jealous."
J: "Don't act silly. But the worst part is that I got paired up with him for this English project."
L: "Okay, listen to me. Don't make such a big deal about it okay. He is probably having his manly period or something."
J: "Yea, you're right. I'll text him later.
L: "That's my girl. Okay I really have to go, my mom is whining that I have to help her with the groceries. We'll talk later okay?"
J: "Yes, talk to you later. Bye babe."
L: "Byebye, love you." She says hanging up.
I grabbed a pack of cookies and sat down on the couch. I decided to text Justin.
"Hey Justin, wanna come over for that project? I have cookies and I'm in a good mood so I might share them. – Cookie monster Jesse" I press send and wait for an answer.
• Justin's POV •
I just messing on my phone when I got a text.
"Hey Justin, wanna come over for that project? I have cookies and I'm in a good mood so I might share them. – Cookie monster Jesse"
I smiled to my phone when my mom walked in.
"Why are you smiling like that?" My mom asks.
"Oh nothing, It's Jesse. She asked me to come over" I said while putting on my shoes.
"Jesse? Nice, nice girl. I can see what you see in her." My mom says with a smirk.
"Mom, come on I don't like her. And besides its for a school project." I tell her crossing my arms.
"Okay okay whatever you say, have fun sweetie." My mom says giving me a kiss on my cheek.
"Bye mom." I call walking out the door.
I walked over to Jesse's house and rang the doorbell. Moments later Jesse came and opened the door with chocolate on her face.
"Hey" Jesse said with a smile on her face.
I didn't said anything because all I did was laugh like crazy.
"What's wrong with you Justin?" She asks starting to laugh too.
"You really are a cookie monster" I said in-between laughs while pointing at her face.
She looks at a mirror and started laughing. She cleaned her face.
"Can't help it, I just love cookies. Now come in you idiot." Jesse says walking inside.
"Sit down sit down, do you want something to drink?" Jesse's asks me.
"Umh sure" I say while sitting on the couch.
Jesse got me a glass of Coca-Cola and sat next to me.
"So how was school?" Jesse asks me.
"Okay I guess." I say laughing.
"Why did you acted so weird today?" She asks me unsure.
"What do you mean?" I asks knowing exactly what she means.
"You know, you just kind of ignored me all day." She says.
"Oh, no I didn't ignore you. I just didn't really had my day." I say.
"Okay, so umh. The project." She said but then got a call.
"Sorry." She says smiling and picking up her phone.
"Hey Nate.... Yes, really good listen, I'm working on my project with Justin can I call you back later? ..... Yes sure, just text me.... Okay bye" I hear her saying and then hanging up.
"Sorry about that" She says smiling.
"Don't worry" I say with a fake smile.
Then she got a text, she looked at it and she blushed and smiled.
There it was again, that feeling of jealousy.
