EMMA'S POV

But this girl... She was nothing like us.
No one would ever say that she would be our child.

But I felt it.
I felt that feeling of protecting her. Of wanting her. Of taking care of her.

But she was in a foster system. Just like me.
She was abandoned.

Does that mean that if we had this child we would abandon her later?
No. I'd never do it. Never.
Not after my own life experience.

Killian and Henry came in laughing.
"Emma. You're awake." He said and came to kiss my forehead.

They had just spent the morning in the Enchanted Forest.

"I just woke up. How are you kid?"

"I'm okay mom. Today my mom finally let me ride on a horse alone. It was amazing! Killian helped me. I almost fell when it stopped and I awkwardly grabbed myself to the horse." He started laughing and so did Killian. "Killian had to help me getting off without hurting myself."

"Kid you need to be careful." I couldn't help but laugh too.

"I can't wait for you to come with us, mom."

"Well the doctor said one month and I shall be totally fine." I sighed forcing a smile.

"Then we can all go to that beautiful lake Killian showed me today-"

"Don't- Lass don't ruin the surprise to your mother." Killian nervously said.

"Surprise?" I raised my eyebrow.

"I wanna take you there when you are finally okay, love."

I smiled and he pecked my lips but I pulled him back to me with my arms around his neck kissing him.

"Okay why don't you save that for another time?" Henry interrupted and we laughed.
It was just a 4 seconds kiss. Or more...

"Anyways... I talked to Regina about the... hook."

There it was that subject again.
The subject thay led us to the car accident. To the baby's death.

I said nothing and kept listening to him. Also, Henry was here.

"She said she can't give me my hand back but she can give me a new one. One like mine."

"Killian you don't-"

"I want to! Emma I want to feel something on my damn left hand."

"Mom... It's okay. We can trust Regina."

"I know kid it's just- nothing."

Killian sighed and closed his eyes.
Henry just stared at me.

"Well I gotta go back to there. I'll see you tomorrow mom." He said and hugged me.

"Have fun, kid." I kissed his forehead and he grabbed his backpack and went.

"You really want that?" I asked not looking at him.

"Yes." He sighed.

And then I looked at him.
And my superpower just confirmed it. He wasn't lying.

one month after•

"Okay I'm gonna change. I can't wait to get the hell out of here." I sighed and went back to my hospital room.

The nurse had just told us everything was fine.
I already called my mom. We are all going back there today.

The town was quiet. No one lived here anymore.
Even the nurse. She would only come every morning to check on me.

"Here I brought you this shirt." Killian closed the door and grabbed an old blue shirt that I used a lot when I came to town.
Memories...

He helped me unbuttoning my hospital gown and I felt him kissing my exposed shoulder.

"Don't be such a teaser. Not here."

"Sorry, love." I turned around facing him. Now only with my underwear. "Long time no see." He smirked.

I put on the shirt and the jeans that were on the bed.

"I already packed your things with your mother's help. So we just need to go pick up the bag."

"Thanks." I said and put on my boots.

I pecked his lips when I stood and searched for my leather jacket.

"No leather jacket?"

"It isn't that cold outside, love. And... I think you're quite beautiful like that."

I smiled and blushed, looking down.

He always managed to make me feel like this. Special. Different from the other women.

"Shall we go?"

I nodded and as we walked out I picked up my hair in a ponytail.
My hair was a mess because of all this time in the hospital.
Shitty shampoos.

We walked out and automatically something occurred in my mind.
My yellow bug.

I grabbed the car keys that were in my pocket and looked at the keychain Neal had given to me that I put in the keys' ring.

"The car... Is completely destroyed. Sorry..."

"It-It's okay... It's just ah... It's good. I won't need it anymore."

But it was Neal's.
It was given to me.
It was our home for an year.
But I don't need it anymore.
I don't need these memories.

But they were good ones.

Henry and I spent a lot of time in it.
The yellow bug was part of our Operation Cobra.
I came to Storybrooke with it.

"Emma..."
"It's okay. I won't need it in the Enchanted Forest."

"I know how it is to lose our old home." He stopped walking. "I felt the same when I gave up the Jolly Roger for you. But then, then I remembered for who I was giving it up for. For you."

I didn't know what to say right now.

"We'll have a new life there. A better one. We will create new memories."

"I know." I smiled.

•••

I opened the door with my keys and at first didn't see my parents.
Then I looked at their bedroom and oh god.

"No guys not again."

"Bloody hell."

They kept looking at us just laughing.
Well this wasn't funny at all.

"We thought you would only come later. Why all the rush?"

"Well let's say I had been long enough locked up in that bedroom."

I walked to the kitchen not looking at them anymore.

"Gonna make tacos again, sweetheart?" David yelled from the bedroom.

"You still remember that? Oh god. That was an year ago!" I yelled back and prepared my coffee. "And I actually was trying to forget about it but then this happened." I mumbled.

I looked at Killian who seemed to not be able to move his eyes from them.
I started laughing.

"Hey, do you want coffee too?"

"Bloody hell this image just keeps in my mind."

I laughed.
"Maybe I could give you some new images tonight hum?" I came to him kissed his ear. My hand grabbing the other side of his head.

"I'd like that." He turned his head to face me and kissed me hungrily.

I need him so much.
It's been 2 months.

My parents came in now dressed. God bless that.

"Don't do that again."

"We were just resting. Seriosuly."

"Of course. And I'm 5 years old." I murmured.
