Middle school fear

I walk into school on a regular March day. Instinctively, I head straight for my locker, #73. "Hey girl." My best friend, Tiffany says, collecting stuff from her locker, that is directly next to mine. "Hey." I say casually, getting my math textbook out and waiting for Tiff to get hers. "Ready." She says, joining me. "Wait, what's that?" I say, turning around to see a poster on the usually bare walls. "Youtube middle school annual BLOCK PARTY?!" We say, shocked. I cant go to a school event! Darn it! Why do I have to live on the same block as my school?! "Stacy." A familiar, goofy voice says from behind us. I spin around to go face-to-face with Zachary Graser, Ugh. I roll my eyes. "Zachary." I mock. He smirks his usually, goofy smirk. Ugh.
Sure, he is one of the most popular kids in school, but he treats me like his little sister that he doesn't want hanging around his friends. My parents and his parents are pretty close, so we pretty much hang out everyday out of school. Something about him makes my heart flutter. I don't like him, i mean, as a brother i guess i do. I always say that the flutter is because a no-life like me has daily conversations with Zachary. I don't think anything of it.
Even though his friends and I don't get along like besties, this boy Liam is pretty nice. Even his other friends that don't talk to me say, "Sup Stace." When I come around the corner at his house, waiting for my dad to stop talking to Zach's dad, even though he never does. "So, you coming to the block party?" He asks. "Yeah?" His friend Mario pipes up. That boy is lovestruck for Tiff, they are dating anyway. "Well, I live on the block, Zachary." I giggle, that guy. "Don't call me Zachary!" He says to me for probably the 100th time this week. "Anyway, my parents wanted me to invite you guys to hang with us for it, like last year." He smirks. Last year, I fell face first off Zach's roof after his friends dared me to go out on it. I broke an arm and sprained my ankle. I cringe at the thought. "Whatever, I'll ask." I say. "I know." He says simply, walking away to join his crew. I shrug it off and go meet my friends, Bianca, Mitchell, Parker, Joey, Lizzie and Joel before math.

"So, you guys can meet me at Zach's for the party." I say casually. "Ohhhhh is Zach your boyfriend?" Joey teased. "N-no! Ew! What?! No." I say, legitimately grossed out. I will admit, me and Zach tried dating in 6th grade, but it didn't work out, he said he saw me more as a sister. We didn't kiss or anything, but it was 6th grade. He sighed. That boy shipped us so freaking hard! I dont understand! All the others giggle and nod. "Do you think Liam will be there?" Parker asks quietly. "I think so, you gonna talk to him finally?" Bee smiles. Parker has recently told us he was gay and that he had a crush on Liam. Of course, i screamed and hugged the life out of him. I mean, AHHH! PARKER HAS A CRUSH! Oh yeah, and he came out, and its amazing that he trusts us, but HE HAS A CRUSH!
At first, I thought it would be awkward with Joey also being openly gay, but them seem to be closer friends, having something in common like that. Joey has his eyes on a Bisexual guy named Shane anyhow. The rest of lunch, we eat in comfortable silence, like always. It fells comforting just knowing that they're right there i guess.

-=+=-THE DAY OF THE PARTY BECAUSE WHY THE FUDGE NOT?-=+=-
Today is the day. Saturday, November 19th. The day of the block party, aka the most intimidating day of my life. These past few day, Zach's friends have been talking to me more and letting me play video games with them. Zach himself has been more sweet to me, giving me his favorite sweatshirt when his parents had the AC blasting. Sad enough, in those few days, i think I've developed feelings for him... Badly. Ugh! WHY IS HE SO PERFECT?! His laugh, his glasses, his braces, him, his personality, his everything! Well, now its time to get dressed for his house.
I decide to wear a light blue, long sleeved blouse with black jeans. I paired that with a black headband and blue converse high-tops. Okay, i look good, which may not the the best thing around boys who magically seem nicer these past days... Well, I'm screwed! I walk down stairs and decide to grab a granola bar at his place. His parents love me to death and buy them for me when I'm over. I head out the front door and make the short walk to Zach's house, aka next door. *knock knock* i hear chattering, but it fell quiet inside. After a few seconds, the door flies open. "Hi." Liam says hurriedly, grabbing my arm and pulling me inside, slamming the door behind me. "Uh.... Hey Zachary, my mom told me to bring these... Things." I say, handing him a bag I brought with some veggie burgers, tofu, veggie pizzas and other veggie stuff for his mom, who is trying being a vegetarian for 3 months. "Can you Put it over there?" He asks, pointing to the counter.
I roll my eyes and set it down on the counter as he asked. I turn around to go back into the main room, only to be greeted by Zach and his posse standing right behind me. "Uhhhhh... Can I help you?" I say sarcastically. Some of them roll their eyes. Before anyone could speak, there is a knock at the door. "I got it! Please, don't be rude..." I beg, rushing to the door and taking a deep breath before swinging it open and embracing my friends. "You made it!" I gasp, "Joey!!" I yell, running to hug him. In the last few weeks, Joey told us that Zach's gang had been bullying him and hurting him. He didn't come to school for the last week and I defiantly didn't think he would show up to Zach's house.
I hear a couple of boys snicker from behind me. If they lay a hair on Joey I SWEAR! I spin around, catching the boys giggling. "Listen. If any of you ungrateful gold diggers lay a finger on Joseph, you have to go threw us. I think it is disgusting that anybody would think being gay or lesbian is a sin. Its just something they were born with! Something no one could or would want to change about them! Its an easier dating pool if you ask me. Having people who understand you and care." I rant, finally taking Joey's arm and motioning for my friends to follow me.
I went down the hall to the guest room that I use when I have to stay over. "S-Stacy... Uh, why would you do that?" Joey says, rubbing my back. "Because I care about you! Duh! I care about all of you! And. I don't wanna see you Hurt." I say, calming down. Parker sits next to me, opposite of Joey. "Stacy, trust me, we all gave them that speech in our heads when they giggled like five year olds." He said, hugging me. "Fineeeee! I'll be good..." I say, rolling my eyes. We smile and get up, walking back to the living room in sync. "Guys, try to be nice to Stacy's friends? She makes an effort to be nice to you, so you should do the same. It would me- hey guys!" Zach says, putting me in confusion. Why would he care? Whatever, its a nice gesture.
