Don't hate me (:

Lukes pov

I sighed as I unblocked the number that I knew like the back of my hand and pressed call.

Nothing.

So I decided to call again, I was only going this for Delilah. I couldn't care less about him, at least at the moment I couldn't.

Nothing.

Why the hell isn't he picking up.

"He's not picking up!" I yelled to Delilah who sat on the couch watching Doctor Who.

I'm so happy she forgave me so easily, though we still have a lot to talk about- such as her loving Calum. For now we were good, not great... but good was okay for now.

"Go to Michael's then!" She yelled back, obviously annoyed that I was interrupting her Netflix watching.

"You really want me to -"

"Yes I really want you to -"

"Fine" I groaned.

God, that's how 99% of my conversations with my mom go.

No wonder Michael didn't invite me over on Sunday for the game, Calum was staying over there.

I grabbed the car keys, pushing my phone in my back pocket and left without a good bye to or from Delilah.

Sighing I began unlocking the car until an annoying sound made me turn my head. There was Chelsea running, out of breath towards me. Her heels clicking harshly against the sidewalk.

She looked scared, as if she's seen a ghost.

"L- Luke!" He screamed reaching her arms out for my shoulders.

"What the hell Chelsea" I spit pushing her off me, she breathed in and out harshly. Resting her hands on her knees as she tried regaining back her breath.

"C- Calum he's" she swallowed "He's in danger".

My eyes widened "What do you mean danger!" I screamed. Looking at the sweaty girl with widened eyes.

She held up a finger, making me a mute for a good ten seconds as she continued to try on breathing normally.

"Some guy had a knife" she spoke quickly "All I know is he was blonde but his face was hidden by his hoodie".

"God damn Chelsea why didn't you get help!" I yelled as I struggled to put the keys into the drivers door.

She made her way to the passenger side, I decided not to question it and let her get in.

"I was scared!" She responded, now buckled in.

"You still could've called 911" I sighed, turning the keys into the ignition.

My heart pumped harshly inside my chest and my stomach grew empty at the thought of anything happening to my best friend. Just seconds ago I was mad at him for trying to steal Delilah, but now all I cared about was if he was okay. He could be dead right now for all I know, and that killed me inside. I didn't want to leave off on a bad note with him, I've known him since middle school. He had a special place in my heart, and if anything was to happen to him I don't know what I'd do.

I raced down the rodes, following Chelseas instructions to where they had walked to.

"Text Delilah and tell her what happened" I gave her my phone, knowing she wouldn't have Delilah as a contact.

She nodded and followed my instructions.

"Right here!" She yelled sending me to press harshly onto the brakes, my tires screeching against the rode as I came to an immediate stop.

"I don't see him" she worryingly spoke with shaky breaths.

I looked out the window, nothing but a trashcan and abandoned building in view. Angrily I got out the car, slamming the door from behind me.

I walked towards the spot Chelsea claimed that they were, nothing.

"Do you hear that?" Her voice softly spoke from behind me, I didn't even know she got out the car.

I listened, spinning a view times in place as I scanned my surroundings. The sound of coughing faintly surrounded us, I stopped in place. Beginning to quietly take small steps in the direction of the noise.

Each step I took, the louder it got.

"Shit" I cursed out once coming in contact with Calum laid behind the dumpster.

His hand was held over his stomach, blood seeping down his shirt and through the spaces between his fingers. He looked horrible, though it seemed his face was undamaged.

"Calum what happened" I quickly asked wrapping his arm around my shoulders, taking a hold of his hand while my other hand held tightly onto his waist.

He coughed and groaned at the obvious pain.

"That Ryan guy, he fucking stabbed me" he winced as each word left his mouth.

"We gotta get you to the hospital" I ignored his answer, I only had one thing in mind and that was making sure he ended up okay.

Chelsea hurriedly opened the back door, helping me as much as she could to get him inside without hurting him too bad. She sat in the back with him as I ran over to the drivers side, immediately starting the car and driving to the hospital.

I grabbed my phone from the passenger seat, quickly dialing Delilahs number.

No answer.

I resorted to texting her after three calls unanswered.

My eyes widened at the recently sent message coming from my phone to hers.

This is Chelsea, looks like he couldn't resist me after all.

"Are you fucking serious!" I yelled looking through the mirror at the girl comforting Calum.

She shrugged.

Fuck this.

I pulled over, miraculously making it to the side of the rode without hitting a sign.

"Get out" I growled, looking nowhere but at the emptiness in front of me.

"Wha -".

I slammed my hands on the steering wheel "Get out of my fucking car!".

She listened, slamming the door behind her.

I began driving once again, my breathing coming to a normal pace now that she was gone.

"Calum you okay back there?" I questioned, squinting my eyes to look at the rode ahead of me.

No answer.

I looked in the mirror to see Calum with dead arms, laying beside him. Eyes shut, his chest wasn't moving.

My face began to heat up.

"Calum".

No answer.

"Calum please answer me!".

Again without an answer I began crying, it wasn't manly I know but my best friend wasn't responding. He could be dead.

"Calum please" my voice coming out as a whimper.

"Stay alive".

I'll fix mistakes later since I'm working on the next chapter as you read this.
