"Get out!", he slammed on the brakes.

"Really?! You have got to be kidding me!"

"Well I'm not. Out. I don't have time for this. I'm already late."

Nicole had, had it with him, she threw open the door and slammed it closed as Jin sped away, the wind blowing the hair out of her face. Did he really just leave her on the side of the road?

She had asked him just one question too many, and maybe a bit too deep, but still! To throw her out of the car?! What a gentleman. Just when she began hiking up the road in the direction of her house, his grey BMW pulled up beside her, and he rolled down the window.

"You said you would be quiet when I agreed to take you home."

Infuriated, Nicole grabbed for the car door handle, only to find it locked.

"Hey!"

By now the cars behind them were honking.

"You said you would be quiet."

"Not a word. I won't ask anything anymore, I'm sorry."

"Good."

                                                                                            ___

As soon as they pulled into the driveway, Nicole emitted an exasperated sigh.

Jin didn't even care to know why.

"Ugh, it's him." she drawled.

"Him?"

"His name is Tony, he's..."

There was another short silence, as Jin stared flatly at her.

"Ms. Pearson. I'm late."

"Please! Just to the door! Just walk me to the door. He won't leave me alone otherwise." she begged, trying her best impression of puppy dog eyes.

Jin swung his door open, whipped around to Nicole's door and opened it.

"Hurry up." he said, with that annoyed glint in his eyes.

She grinned widely and scurried out of the car.

As they made their way up the drive, Nicole grabbed Jin's arm, he tried quickly to swipe it away, but she gripped onto it tighter.

"Nicole!" Tony exclaimed. "I was just coming to see you."

Nicole cringed.

"Who's this guy?" he gestured towards Jin.

"Uh." Nicole looked back at Jin, who in turn looked extremely disinterested. "This is my boyfriend."

Nicole could feel Jin's glare, without even having to look at him.

Jin was late and he'd hardly anytime to get back on the highway before his meeting would be over.

Jin lifted a corner of his mouth in slight humor. The irony of this day was unimaginable.
