Reet laughed at Min Ho's childish behavior, though she took care to hide it from him. After a moment, she approached his bed. "It's time for your medicine. Please take it."
Min Ho ignored her, pretending not to hear. Reet spoke again, more firmly, "There's no point in throwing a tantrum. Don't be careless with your medicine, or I might have to shift you back to the ICU."
Hearing the threat, Min Ho glared at her but snatched the medicine and swallowed it without a word. He looked like a little kid who didn't get his favorite toy and was being scolded on top of it.
Reet couldn't hold it back anymore and burst out laughing. Min Ho stared at her, mesmerized for a moment. "She looks so good when she laughs... she doesn't look like a grouch at all," he thought to himself.
Realizing Min Ho was staring, Reet immediately composed herself. "Were you having fun making fun of me?" Min Ho asked.
"You act in a way that makes people laugh. How is that my fault?" she replied.
"Who told you to laugh at me?" Min Ho snapped. Reet retorted irritably, "If you do these things in front of me, should I just close my eyes? You stop acting like this, and I'll stop laughing. Deal?"
"Hello! I'm not some joker. I am Min Ho . If I'm acting out, it's because of you-you're always making me angry. You're lucky you're my doctor..." Before he could finish, Reet cut him off. "And if I wasn't? For your information, you are lucky that I'm the one treating you. Do you know how many people want me as their surgeon? I pushed everyone aside to treat you."
"Yeah, well, you aren't doing it for free. You're being paid," Min Ho said.
"So? Everyone I treat pays me. And for your information, I haven't charged you a penny extra, despite giving you my extra effort!" Reet turned on her heel and walked out of the ward.
Inside, Min Ho muttered angrily, "She makes the mistake and then lectures me. The culprit becomes the judge, how nice." Meanwhile, Reet walked to her cabin, grumbling to herself in frustration.
The Next Day
At 5:00 AM, the sky was painted in shades of vermilion and crimson. In the bedroom, Yoongi was sleeping with Jimin in his arms when his alarm went off. He quickly silenced it so it wouldn't wake jimin.
As he tried to gently pull away to get up, Jimin held him tighter, his voice thick with sleep. "Please, Yoongi, I want to sleep."
"Fine, you sleep. But let me go," Yoongi said.
Jimin pouted. "No, I want to sleep with you like this. Please..."
"Okay, but only for 15 minutes," Yoongi said. But Jimin wasn't listening; he practically climbed on top of him so he couldn't get out of bed. Yoongi sighed and wrapped his arms around him, keeping an eye on the time.
He was a creature of habit who woke up early, but Jimin was keeping him hostage. Jimin had stayed up half the night watching movies with him because he had slept all day, and now he wouldn't let him leave.
An hour later, once he was in a deep sleep, Yoongi very carefully detached himself and slipped out of bed. He moved like a ghost so as not to wake him, freshened up, and headed to the gym.
Once freed from his hold, Jimin spread out across the bed like a bird in flight, oblivious to the fact that he was gone.
At 8:30 AM,
Jimin finally woke up. Seeing the time, he screamed, "Oh God! I'm so late! My audition is gone!" he saw Yoongi standing in front of the mirror, fully dressed. "Yoongi! Why didn't you wake me up? I have to be at college by 9:00!"
