Alicia knew that Jeremiah knew what she was. He always had, even as kids. But she never took into account that she would fall in love with him, and then watch him fall out of love. The kids weren't intentional, but Alicia loved them more then anything else. She just never showed it. Being a deity with kids you adore, is difficult. They can't know what you are without putting them in danger, but by being around them all the time, you set them up to find out. So Alicia did what she thought she had to do. She cut herself off. Not entirely, but enough to where she wouldn't see the girls on a daily basis.
Alicia wasn't a goddess, like Jeremiah seemed so set on believing. She was a deity, which is slightly less important in Greek myths and legends. Deity's were also constantly fighting themselves, as they were always being tempted by Kronos. They were neither good nor evil, but if one side used or interacted with them often enough, they could be swayed. And then they could never go back to being the middle ground.
Since Jeremiah, couldn't tell the difference, he also couldn't save her. Alicia had made an awful mistake, just months ago, and now she could feel herself being pulled into the grip of evil. Oh how she wished he hadn't given up on her. Now she was forced to curse the people she loved most in this world.
Oh how the tables turn.
