I am not exaggerating when I say this took nearly two months to write because I SUCK at these types of things. Prepare for some cringy action/battle scenes
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVE!
The only warning in this is that it contains depressing thoughts and some blood, finally, I have one final question for all of you readers.
I have two ideas for the final chapters, one ends with death, one doesn't. My question is, which one do you want to be the true ending for this story? Bare in mind that the one chosen will impact what I do for the sequel.
I ask this now mainly so that I have time to work up to it at a later date.
Thanks for reading this horrible piece, and have fun in the new year, sunflowers ^^

You barely have time to dodge as the tendril impacts the ground, sending out a shockwave and rubble in your direction, sending you down to the ground on your knees. You force yourself to keep moving along the edge of the active lava spewing out red lava and bright blue liquid, you couldn't stop for even a second unless you had to.
I need to find stable ground, this is not good for me, at least my breathing doesn't weaken here, it's just physical pain I experience you thought to yourself while this does remind me of those games I used to play, I know this is not a game. I know that if I don't fight back, this WILL be the end
You had no intention of letting that happen. So you force yourself to think as you run.
The hunter and the prey can switch if in the right situation, and right now, you were the prey, this leech was bigger than you and could easily take you out if it wanted to. But at the moment, it was playing the game of cat and mouse. It was toying with you, it's playing mind games with you.
You can run but you can't hide
Plus, this thing is you, it's your leech, your depression. Which means that it will know everything you do while you're planning a strategy. Which means you would have to wing it. There was no other way. Which also meant that you had to find a way to 'activate' your-
A shockwave cut off your concentration, sending you away from the lava.
Come on, coward. I thought you wanted to confront me the leech taunted or was all of that just for theatrics?
You had no choice, you have to do it now. You need to go faster. Like those hedgehogs everyone was so fond of.
This is as much my world as it is yours, leech you hiss in your mind.
You legs pick up speed, you even take the risk of jumping a small way.
You're in my world, not your world, parasite
I am not the parasite, you are
You jump further than you originally planned and nearly fall flat on your face. Yikes.
Good thing the tendril missed though, it gave you the chance to quickly move. And then get yourself tripped on a stupid rock. How cliché.
How very anti-climatic the leech said sarcastically.
You turn around just enough to see the thing coming at you with its jaws open. It looked revolting to look at. But you force yourself to look at it. There is no way you can roll out of this because both sides were completely blocked off, most likely from this hideous thing. Honestly. Even Molag Bal was better looking than this thing.
