Always In My Heart (Five)

Friday, the next day

11:30 am, University's Gazebo. It was lunchtime; Azriel takes a sip of her soda and bites the tuna sandwich. Her eyes never leave her notes reviewing the past lessons she takes notice. She was preparing for her last exam this afternoon, then a long winter break after today. Not only that, today is the day. She pauses from reviewing and looks up, her eyes searching for someone. Uriel was leaning in one of the millennium tree branches inside the university. It was the oldest tree in the area. No one could saw him except for the half angels and the elves living in the millennium tree.

"Yo Az, " Logan shouted to get her attention. She saw Benz and Logan coming towards her. Benz put a box in front of her when the boys reach her table.

"Hmm? What is this?" She asked, even she already know what it is. The smell made her tummy crave for it.

"Freshly bake," Benz said over his killer smile. She laughed.

She opens the box and saw five pieces of cinnamon muffins. "Hmm... wow," she was speechless. Benz watches her and is amused by her expression. She finishes the muffins without saying a word while chewing.

"Whoah, Az! Looks you not hungry," Logan burst into laughed, then start eating his share.

"Now that makes him shut up," she said after sipping a significant volume of her soda. "That was so delicious, Benz," she praised him and started another one. "As expected, your the best! Can't wait to dine in at your restaurant soon."

"Haha! Princess, that was too many compliments from you," he again planted that killer smile on his lips. They could hear every girl in the Gazebo sighed and mesmerized. He was so handsome that every girl dream of being his girlfriend. He is a pure Korean race, tall, lean, a clothing model, or a TV commercial. He looks athletic but trying to hide his physical appearance by wearing thick glasses and acted like a weird person. And he was always seen tagged along with Azriel, so everyone thought he like Azriel or in love with her. All the foods they make and bake during his Culinary classes, it was Azriel who eat first after his teachers tasted and receive an A+ grade on them.

"By the way Az---," Benz pause and look over at Uriel a hundred meters away from them. He still above in the millennium tree. He seems sleeping, but they know he wasn't and just listening to his surroundings. "Why was he here? Isn't he was forbidden to see you or get near you?"

"True, Az. What is your new mission? Can we know about it?" Logan seconded.

"It is highly confidential. I cannot reveal or tell anyone about it. You both knew that."

"Azriel, he was here. So it's not just a simple hi---" Azriel stops him from raising her right hand.

"Guys, trust me. And all of the people, you two who knew how we are the perfect partner to do missions highly." She assured them. 

That was true anyway. She was the top candidate for their training. She was strong that even other pure angels could not stop her during special physical exams to measure their strength and power. Azriel is gazing at Benz with worried eyes. She gives him a smile to calm him, to understand her. Benz reached her hand and said, "Don't forget that we are always here when you need us."

Azriel glance at the millennium tree, and she saw that Uriel is watching them. She could tell he was not happy with how Benjamin acted, especially that Benz held her hand. She could tell he was kind of jealous, and her heart jump.

"You are always in my heart, the only one it beats." Her heart whispered in the air, and she wishes it reach him... Uriel meets her eyes, and she could see the love and passion in them.

Uriel is leaning comfortably at the millennium tree and enjoying the birds humming when he heard the conversation between Benjamin and Azriel. He wants to deny that feeling, but it seems he can't avoid feeling that in his heart. A pinch of fire starts blazing inside him. Uriel admitted that he doesn't like the way Benz treated Azriel. It was so special, and he is a man too. He knew when a man has a feeling for a girl.

Wait for a minute, does he thought of that? Uriel asked himself. He could even hear his chuckle. And when he began to got involved in love problems?

For a billion years, it was the first time he felt something towards a girl. Azriel is his first love and the only woman he will ever love. Just the thought of her, his heart pounding crazily, and the longing to see her and hold her close each day.

"Greetings to you, dear great Angel." A voice of a woman above him.

"A greeting is for you, your highness." Uriel stood up and faced the woman. "Princess Code."

"Have you realize you were stepping on our kingdom, dear great Angel?" Princess Code said.

"Pardon me, your highness, I did---" Before Uriel finishes his sentence, the princesslaughsh aloud.

"You are funny dear great Angel," the Princess elf now sounded, making fun of him. "Don't be so serious. I am just kidding; we don't mind. It was our honor to give a shelter for a great archangel like you."

"There is none greater than my brother Michael and God." He quoted. "Besides, this is my character Princess; I am showing the real me towards everyone."

"Ah, ah... you were not, to everyone." The elf princess corrected. She looks over her shoulder towards Azriel, then looks back at him and smiles. Uriel understands what the elf princess meant to say.

"My father wants to meet you if you don't mind, dear great angel?"

"No. I don't mind. It would be my pleasure to meet King Seraphim again."

Before he followed the elf princess, he gives a glance at Azriel. The girl was watching them. She could feel the elf princess's presence when she appeared outside the millennium tree. He nods at her, and Azriel gives him an unsure smile but bounced back at him. Then they disappeared.

"Oh my..." Logan sighed and daydreaming, looking towards the elf princess. "Isn't a beauty? She is the morning and night star of my life."

"Oh Logan, seriously!?" She was shocked. She saw Benz just smiling like he already knows. "When it started?" Benz just laughed.

"And you keep it a secret from me?" She is only kidding Logan to sound hurt.

"She is my princess ever since I lay my eyes on her eight years ago," Logan answered between his daydreaming.

"Oh, that was a long time already. Haven't you told her about your feelings yet?"

"Nah, it was impossible. She was a princess and looked at me? Just an ordinary half angel." Logan suddenly becomes serious.

"If there is an ordinary half-angel here, that was me, Logan." There is a pain in her voice.

"Oh no, Azriel, that's not what I meant."

"I know. But the reality is, I am an angel without wings."

"Azriel doesn't mean you don't have wings; that does not make who you are." Benz tried to console her. "You are very special and unique and---" Azriel stood up and picked her bag and notebook.  "Az, please listen to me."

"Am going to meet Lazarus." She left the boys and walked towards the millennium tree where Lazarus just landed. Lazarus is the replacement of Uriel when  Heaven ordered to end Uriel's guardianship with her.
