12. The Fury and its Lion.

I stood at the school gates, in a blue formal dress, hair curled in soft waves and hand in hand with Liam. He stood next to me in a black tuxedo, but with a light red buttoned up shirt.

Counting from our first date we'd been dating for a year and a moth exactly. It turns out that all we'd needed to do was to put our hostility aside to find out that we actually really liked being around each other. He was entertaining, energetic and fun to be around. And somehow we matched. All the characteristics that had had us fighting before now seemed to be holding us together.

Allison and Charlie were standing right next to us, both hand in hand as well. Apparently Allison had been right. Charlie was the one. Or so it seemed. They hadn't broken up yet and this was most definitely Allison's longest relationship. She'd set a record, going from one month up to a year and a few months.

"What are we waiting for?" Allison asked all of us when we'd all been standing there for 5 minutes straight.

"We're making a movie scene." I explained. "Now we're at the end of this comedy teenage drama and we're walking through the school gates to go to prom with our love interests and everything has worked out perfectly."

"You sure love dramatizing." Allison said, rolling her eyes and then we all walked through the school doors and made our way into the gymnasium where it was just a normal party and not some big momentous life changing event like in movies. Because life is not a movie. Well, it might have been a big momentous event for that guy that got drunk and ran through the gymnasium naked, because he'll be teased for life about it, but other than that it was a normal party. But I had fun. And even though life is not a movie I did had to have a perfect movie moment. With Liam. Because life is better than a movie.

He politely asked me to dance when the slow dances started and I took his hand, letting him lead me on the dance floor. I put my hand on his shoulder and he took my other hand in his. He laced his hand around my waist and held me close as we swayed to the music. I could feel his heartbeat and I victoriously noted that it was faster than it should have been.

"So, I guess we really are The Fury and its Lion." I said.

"I believe the term used was-"

"Shh. Not important."

His breath tickled the sensitive skin on my neck as he chuckled. "Okay, whatever you say, Blue."

"That's right, Red." I answered, smiling against the nape of his neck.

"So, I was right? Together we make purple?"

"I guess we do. And purple is a beautiful color." I pulled away enough to be able to look into his beautiful coffee brown eyes. "Just like us."

"Just like us." he repeated, connecting his lips to mine. And it was a purple kiss. Soft, tender and calm.

We weren't like that apart, but we were most definitely like that together. We truly were purple.
