As the car slowed near the university road, Haru leaned forward slightly, peeking through the windshield. Groups of students were already visible-laughing, adjusting bags, some rushing, some strolling casually...

Haru swallowed, her shoulders tensing...

Jk: Why, kitten?!!.. Are you planning to run away!!..( he asked his tone teasing..)

Haru: No kookie..!! If they see me coming with you...( jungkook cut her off saying..)

Jk: What can they do??!!..( he asked as he glanced at her once...

Haru swallowed hard and spoke..

Haru: Yesterday, many looked at me suspiciously when they see me getting down from your limo!!.. Lina convinced them saying you gave me lift!!..(she whispered, eyes dropping to her lap..)

Jungkook's teasing expression faded instantly...His jaw tightened, and his fingers curled slightly tighter around the steering wheel...

He knew how gossip spread like wildfire among the students. He glanced up at the mirror his expression serious..

Jk: Haru, listen to me..!! ( he said, his voice low and commanding..)

Jk: You are not some random girl I picked up on the street..!! ( he said firmly, his eyes locking with hers through the rearview mirror...)

Jk: You're my girl..!! And If anyone has a problem with that, I'll personally make them understand who you are to me in my way!!..( he spoke as he took a turn, pulling into the university entrance despite her request...)

Haru noticed and panicked...

Haru: Kookie... please... just a little far...!! ( she spoke her tone low and hesitant...)

Jk: Tell me a valid reason I'll turn right away and leave you far from university!!..( he spoke as he parked his car at his private parking...)

Haru bit her lip and finally said it, her voice trembling...

Haru: I don't want to get bullied by others...!! (she whispered her eyes lowered to her lap)

The words hit harder than Jungkook expected...He went still for a moment, the engine idling softly...His grip on the steering wheel loosened, then tightened not in anger, but restraint...
