"It's time." The hissing voice echoed throughout the entire house. That must mean that Harry, Ron, and Hermione know the last horcrux is at Hogwarts, and are already there. My heart swells, I'm so proud of them.

I can hear my family running around downstairs, getting ready to leave. I check to see my real wand is in my inside pocket, then zip up the jacket. Inside the sleeve, there's another place to put a wand, so that's where I put my old wand, which I plan on using for only a few more hours.

I walk down the stairs and push open the heavy doors. I walk down the gravel path, leaving the mansion doors open, they are still frantically getting ready inside so they will be out in a few minutes, it will bother them to no end. I walk through the wrought-iron gates, down another path past the hedges, then to the apparating point.

I turn on the spot, focusing on the top of the hill that looks out over Hogwarts. The familiar suffocating darkness envelops me, then it disappears and the cool night air blows across my face. I'm the first one here, so I stand on the crest of the hill and look down at the school. Most of the castle is dark, but the windows of the Great Hall are glowing orange. I focus on those lights, telling myself that Harry is down there. I'm so close to him, but I can't go yet. I stand and wait as more and more people apparate behind me, all of them ignoring me, out of spite or fear, I neither know nor care.

Harry

The four heads of house, Luna, and I all stand, staring at the Snape-sized hole in the window. I walk over to the end of the room, and everyone's eyes lock onto me, waiting for what I'm going to say.

"Uh..." I cough, then start again. "There's something we need to find in the castle. Ron, Hermione, and I have been hunting down horcruxes, seven of them. One of them is in the castle and we need to find it. Voldemort found out we're hunting them, and is coming. We need to put as much protection as we can around the school to stall him, so we can find it."

I pause, giving them time for all of this to sink in.

"We can do that." Says McGonagall, nodding.

"One more thing," I say, "Draco Malfoy, he's on our side." A few people open their mouths about to speak, but I cut them off before they can begin. "The night Dumbledore died, Draco and I went to a safe house, and he started out hunting down horcruxes with us, but we didn't have enough information, so he went undercover. He is fighting with us, and I expect he will join us very soon. So don't hex him when he gets here. without him, we would have already lost."

"This is no time for jokes Mr. Potter." pipes up Flitwick.

"He's not joking, it's true." says Luna.

"Get all of your students to the Great Hall in twenty minutes." Said McGonagall, turning to the professors. "You too Horace, it's time for Slytherin house to choose its loyalties."

Draco

I stood at the top of the hill alone, hundreds of Death Eaters behind me. They're all chatting, murmuring nervously. All of a sudden, the noise stops, and Voldemort walks up beside me. We stood there in silence, watching the castle below. Beams of light were coming from one window, they were casting protective enchantments. This was my chance, if I waited any longer, I wouldn't be able to get into the castle.

I step out in front of Voldemort, facing him.

"You may be the most feared dark wizard in all of history, but you're completely oblivious."

Then I punch him in the face.

I take him completely by surprise, so I disapparate before he gets the chance to do anything, but the look on his face is worth more than all the wealth in Gringotts.
