The ministry. The impossible task we somehow had to make possible. We went out in shifts under the invisibility cloak, watching people go in and out of the ministry; listening to gossip, stealing newspapers, trying to understand what they would find once they were inside.

What we did know was that the ministry was rounding up Muggleborns, and snapping their wands. They claimed that they had stolen magic. How the fuck could you steal magic if you don't even know it exists? Not just that, how do you steal magic in the first place? The whole thing was ridiculous, just an excuse to get rid of all the muggleborns with no real justification.

Once we had gathered information about the hat was going on in the ministry, we started making plans and maps of where everything was, still trying to stay up to date on what was happening at the ministry so we don't fall behind and have to start all over again.

We have chosen three people to transform into with polyjuice potion. We'll make sure these people wouldn't show up for work by using a few things from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Fred and George are truly geniuses. When they were... Incapacitated, we would take a few hairs and become them for a few hours. Simple enough.

The next step was to find out these people's patterns. What time they arrived, how they walked, personality, where they worked. We don't need too much, but better to be prepared for the unexpected. We had to pass for these people if the plan was going to work.

Ron and I think that we're ready to go, but Hermione insists that we should wait at least one more week to verify our information. We grudgingly agreed, we both knew Hermione was a genius, and we should trust her judgement if we all wanted to stay alive by the end of this. So we waited some more, and watched the ministry to make sure nothing changes.

Draco

I'm lying on my childhood bed, staring at the ceiling, bored out of my mind. I hear the heavy front door close, and realize that I am alone in the house. When I lie here, wallowing in my boredom, repressed memories pop up, and when I force those away, existential crisis replaces them. I decide to get up and explore, before the void in my mind swallows me whole. This had been my home for the first 11 years of my life, and then after that only in the summers.

The manor had been in the family for longer than anybody could remember, and I'm determined to find all of its secrets. I don't look much in the cellars, because there really isn't much there to begin with. I walk along a hallway on the second floor, and try to notice things that generations of Malfoys would just ignore.

My parents and all of my other stuck up relatives just walk around and don't really look at anything. They think themselves above everything, they take everything for granted. I walk around, and look out of the corners of my eyes, straining to see some detail I had passed by, something I had missed for years. I look where you see no need to look, where you never look, for no real reason, you just don't. When I did this, in a corner of the very end of the hallway, I see a door I have never noticed before.

The door appears to be like all the others, but the number of doors on all the hallways are always equal. This door makes the number one too many. Hesitantly, I walk over and push open the door. I take a step in, not expecting anything like what I find. When I walk through the door, I find myself in another hallway. This mysterious hallway is drastically different from the hallways in the rest of the house.

The doors are different sizes, different styles, bright colours. I see a tall wide door painted with the design of a Slytherin banner. I look at more and see different paintings, patterns, and designs on all the doors. I look closer at the Slytherin door, and see a sign that says "Library" above it. I push open the door, and find a giant room filled with books. I decide to explore this library more later, and see what's behind all the other doors.
