*Author's note*

Title inspired by the Titanic scene after watching that scene plus the beginning of BOTFA I thought it'd be cool to make this. Sorry if it sucks I kinda rushed it a little last night and finishing it today. Anyways all rights belong to their owners and in case you guys don't know the character Hilda Bianca is the woman who argues with Alfrid in the BOTFA that is her character's name and u guys are her daughter and inherit her snappy attitude and you'll find out why shortly. Enjoy my lovelies :)

The sound we all heard was like the sound of a hurricane coming from the mountain towards the town. We all knew it could only be one thing that was coming towards us.

 The dragon Smaug.

He was coming to kill us all.

All for a greedy dwarfish King who sought out to reclaim his own kingdom blinded by his own desires.

With my husband Bard arrested while he and I hid the black arrow that he had stowed away in our house, I was the only hope the children had now.

I became Bard's second wife just recently about 5 years ago but we've known each other ever since we were children. He and I grew up together in Laketown with my mother being the town's seamstress and his father the Bargeman like he is now. While I did feel heartbroken when he married his first wife, I couldn't hate him nor the woman he chose and ironically she and I did become friends and made me her children's godmother. But ever since the sickness spread when Tilda was just a babe, Bard was heartbroken for years until that day five years ago Bard proclaimed his love for me and we ended up marrying.

My Godmother position became step-mother and I enjoyed taking care of the children and being with the man I love.

But now I fear that our happiness will now burn in dragon fire and ruin.

As the town began to evacuate as fast as they all could, the she-elf I was told to be Tauriel said.

"We've no time, we need to leave". She and the dwarves that stayed behind all began to pack up. As Sigrid helped Tilda pack what we needed I told her.

"We won't leave. Not without my husband!"

"If you stay here your children will die! Is that what your husband would want?" She questioned me in a command as she turned to look at me.

I knew that she was right.

Plus Bard's stubbornness would force me to take the children to safety even if he wasn't there with us.

Once we were all ready, we went down to the steps onto our bottom docks and got on our escape boat and all piled on and the dwarves took each oar and we took off rowing down the lake to hopefully escape before Smaug unleashed his wrath upon the town.

But it was soon too late.

The next thing I knew, I was shielding my children from the flames of Smaug and hearing the screams of agony and fear from all my friends of Laketown.

The houses burned like a wildfire and lit up like torches in the night. Smaug's wrath burned with a deep passion as he lit up the town, killing innocent lives with no remorse or a second thought.

It wasn't until I heard Bain exclaim.

"Da!" The girls gasped and Tilda cried out.

"Da!" There I saw my husband and best friend up on the bell tower with a long bow and a set of arrows firing one arrow by another at the dragon hoping to bring his attention towards Bard instead of the town.
