~JULIET~

"You have got to be kidding me! Aspen I think you might be paying a little visit to the loony bin soon. I'm not coming over to see a dead girl." I yell into my iPhone. "I'm not going crazy and she's not dead. Everybody just thinks she is. Please come see for yourself." Aspen pleads from the other side of the line. "Fine. Whatever. I'll be there in 5." I give in.

"Ok where's the zombie?" I ask impatiently marching in the door. "Where's your sense of adventure, Juliet?" Aspen asks enthusiastically, "I want my best friend back. Ever since you got home from your trip you've seemed totally bored and depressed. What's wrong?" Aspen asks. I take a deep breath. "Fine. You really want to know? My father told me I was a terrible accident and should've never been born. He said I had a lifetime of trouble and danger ahead of me." I start to cry, "My dad's never said anything so terrible." "Awww. Jules why didn't you tell me. Come here." She offers me a hug and I start crying even louder. "It's okay. Does it look like I think you're a mistake?" She asks. "You've got a black belt in karate, you're prettier than any other girl I know, and you're my best friend!" I smile half-heartedly. "I know what'll make you feel better. Cassie!" Aspen calls. A girl kind of short, but not really, with really long dark blonde- light brown hair with bangs swooped over her forehead, tan-ish skin, and light gray eyes steps into the room.

"Oh. My. Goodness! That's? And you? And this? And we? And her?" I stammer. "Yup!" The girl confirms. I just stare, dumbfounded. This isn't possible. "But you were found dead." I say. "I fainted. I was dehydrated, tired, and I felt... really awful." She says slowly in a small voice, "Then I fell off the dock into the water." Cassie tells. "But you must have been under for hours, how could you not drown? And why did you go missing?" I ask. "Like I told Aspen. I know it sounds crazy but when I woke up I could breathe underwater. Then a rock or something heavy and dark came over me and I went unconscious again. Also I didn't go missing. I ran away. Weird things have been happening lately and no one believes me. Especially my foster parents. If they can't help then I'll find someone who can." She says glumly but with a hint of determination.

Just then, "CRASH!" We hear something in the other room crash to the floor. We look at each other and I instinctively bring my finger up to my lips making the 'shhhh!' sign. They obey and we all silently tiptoe towards the foyer. Although the image I see is a little disturbing. A boy about 15 is standing at the open front door with shards of glass shattered at his feet. He has chocolate colored skin, shaggy black hair, and crutches. His feet are at an odd angle and he looks like he's been running for miles. The pale look on his face makes it look like he's just seen a ghost. "What are you doing in my house?" Aspen asks slowly.
