Twenty-Four

1 month Later

"Jackie gotta get up, it's the first day of school" Alex said waking me up. Good thing we graduate this year.
I groaned and got up after 5 minutes, I went to the bathroom and did my business. I put on Skinny jeans, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt I kind stole from Tucker because it was comfy.
I grabbed everything I needed and headed downstairs, I put on my shoes and walked outside to get to school.

"Boo" someone yelled and grabbed me.
I screamed and noticed it was Tucker.
"Tucker you're so mean" I playfully hit him
"But you love me anyways" he said and pecked my cheek
"It's sad isn't it" I asked
"No it's a great thing" he winked and let go of me.
"Mah lady, your ride awaits you" he said standing up tall and taking my hand.
"Tucker just go I wouldn't like to be late on the first day" I chuckled
"Okay" we got on his motorcycle and headed to school.

(Lunch)

At lunch it was Tucker, me, Chase, Ethan, James, Eric, and Sarah. Sarah is Chase's Girlfriend at the time.
"I give them 1 week tops" I whispered to Tucker
"3 days top" he whispered back
"Bet on it?" I asked
"Yup"
We have this thing where we bet on how long Chase stays with a girl and who ever wins gets to choose what they want.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Wesley.
"Yeah" i said
"Um, I just wanted to say sorry and I was hoping we could stay friends you know?" He asked nervously
"I guess we could try being friends" I told him
I felt Tucker grab my hand and squeeze it.
"But I think you should also say sorry to them too," I said looking at everyone at our table
"For betraying all of our trust"
He nodded and told them all sorry, he ended up sitting at our table along with one of his friends that I didn't really know.

We had announcements at lunch over the intercom. One really caught my ears though.
"We are now going to start fall Softball with Coach Annie, anyone who would like to play is welcome to sign ups are on the gym door."
"You're signing up aren't you" Tucker said
"Duh" I laughed and so did he
Tucker put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
"That means I get to see my beautiful girlfriend kick ass" he whispered in my ear.
I smiled and tried to hide my blush but couldn't, I hid my face in my sweatshirt so no one made fun of me.
"You're too cute" Tucker laughed

Last period was taking forever. It seemed as these last 5 minutes where taking longer. Finally the bell rang and I went to my locker to put things away.
"Ah there's my beauty" Tucker said and wrapped his arms around waist.
"And there's my beast" I chuckled
"That's in a good way right" he asked
"Yes, because I love you" I turned and pecked his lips
"Good because I love you too"
I closed my locker and left my bag since I didn't need it.
We walked out of the school and to his bike,
"My house or yours" he asked
"I don't care" I replied
"Okay"

We ended up going to his house, Tucker opened the door and straight away his dog Zip came running in. He jumped up on me and started to lick my face, did I mention he's a huge dog. He's almost as tall as me on hind legs
"Zip get down, I'm the only one that gets to kiss her like that" Tucker said and got Zip down
I started laughing at that,
"You know it's true," he stopped
"Jacklyn"

"What" I stopped
"You heard me" he smirked
"And there's why I don't tell people my real name" I crossed my arms and walked into the living room.
I sat on the couch and started to pet Zip when he came over.
"Jackie..." Tucker started as he came in.
"What"
"I'm sorry" he sat next to me.
"I hate that name" I said starring at the wall.

"Why" he asked
"Because, it reminds me of times. Times that I can't ever have again," I said as my vision got blurry.
"It reminds me of my parents. My mom would always use my full name, never Jack or Jackie. Just Jacklyn"
A tear rolled down my face and by now Tucker picked me up bridal style and walked to his room.
He set me down on his bed, covered me up and took off his shirt. He plugged in his phone to a speaker, it started to play music, but it was soft music. Soon he got under the covers with me and pulled me close to his body.
The song a thousand years came on and Tucker started singing it quietly to me.
"Heart beats fast, colors and promises. How to be brave. How can I love when I'm afraid to fall" he sang

The tears stopped and now I was just looking at the ceiling.
"Jackie" I didn't move or say anything.
He gently moved my head so I was looking at him, he looked right at me.
"You're beautiful"
I could feel my face heat up,
"Awe it's cute when you blush" he said and pinched my cheeks lightly.
"Stawp, how about I pinch your cheeks" I said and grabbed his cheeks.
"Owchy" he said like a little kid
"I told you" I huffed

"You okay now" he asked
"Yeah but you probably think I'm annoying now" I told him
"Jackie you're not annoying, everyone cries, and when you do cry I'll be here for you no matter what. I don't care if it's the stupidest reason why. I will be here." Tucker said sitting up

"I love you Jackie, I will be here when you need me most, I will protect you. And most of all I'll love you" he said looking in my eyes.
I sat up and hugged him,
"I love you Tucker, you're the best"
