"Now please, avoid parties for some time, alright?" The doctor gave Cecilia a stern look and then shared the same stare to Jaebum and Sky.
"Yes doctor, don't worry," Cecilia giggled, she was never a party addict in the first place.Mark waited outside, somehow he found himself tagging along with Cecilia and the rest to the hospital to get one last check up and getting Cecilia's bandages removed.
"Oh wow, you look messy huh?" Mark smiled seeing Cecilia's hair all over the place, "You jerk,"she kicked aiming the back of his knee but eventually failed and hit his thigh instead.
"And who's what?" He asked, smiling, Cecilia frowned but eventually a small giggle escaped her lips, "At least you're not gloomy now. That's my Cecilia,"Cecilia's POV
I chocked when he said 'My Cecilia' since when I'm his?
I rose an eyebrow "Pardon?", "My Cecilia," he repeated with a playful smile.
"Last time I checked I had no tag on," I snorted, he was being incredibly agreeable this morning.
"It's almost lunch time, shall we grab some food? Yugyeom texted me asking if you wanted to try the new Chinese restaurant near your high school," Sky suggested and we obviously agreed, though the doctor told me to keep it light for a couple more days. She led the way as the 4 of us trotted down the streets, walking some miles will help me empty my stomach though I just had some milk in the morning.
I walked next to Sky, our arms interlocked like we always do, "Do you remember the café we went to last time to study for the biology test? I heard they put some new items in the menù and that they renowned the interiors," Sky went on describing how pretty the new interior design of that café is and that we had to go there.
"Yes definitely, I love their cold drinks and their pastries are to die for," just the thought of those delicious looking cakes and croissants made my mouth watery. We usually go there to study for exams or just to spend time in cozy places, it is near high school and very close to the bookstore: though I don't like reading, I have periods of times when I devour books like nothing.
Also I love stationaries like stickers, notebooks, pens, highlights and stuff, so after a good afternoon spent at the café talking about sweet nothings, me and Sky and a bunch of our friends would go there and roam around.
Pretty boring, but I love the feeling of being surrounded by things that calm me down."And also a new thrift shop opened in the shopping district, my classmates said it is very affordable, we should go there too!" Sky has got into reforming clothes lately, and I have to admit that she's good at it.
As of now she did nothing crazy, just reformed some of her old sweaters.
"Alright," me on the other hand, I'm very bad at sewing and things like that, it takes me a lot of practice to understand how to make the sewing machine work.We kept chatting about anything that crossed our minds, about how my hair was still a little messy even after I tried to comb them once the bandages were gone, but apparently nothing works, it must be the humidity.
The restaurant was pretty close, or at least I didn't feel like it was that far, the walk was very pleasant and without those white fabrics around my head, people didn't turn around and look at me as if they had seen something scandalous.
"I see my brother and Jinyoung and Bambam too! Hey!" Sky waved her hands and screamed, the three boys looked startled at first.
As they looked around they saw us and waved back.I haven't seen Bambam in a very long time, but I also haven't seen Jinyoung since the party.
I wonder if he remembers what he told me, which I doubt because he was clearly drunk and maybe he didn't even mean those words. The thought just lightly hit me but I had no opinions about it, somehow I didn't care too much, I almost even forgot that it happened.
"I already reserved a table, they told me to wait until 12:30 because they open at that time," Yugyeom slid his phone back into his pants' pocket, "it's still pretty early, what about a quick walk around here and we get back when it's almost time?" Bambam suggested.
We all agreed, we had a little over 30 minutes to kill and standing in front of the restaurant wasn't going to be productive."Sorry if I didn't come to see you," Jinyoung scratched the back of his head as a vague expression took over his features. I slapped his back, "That's fine! I'm all better now!" I played it off coolly, I didn't really care about that honestly.
He nodded without saying an extra word as he walked next to me, Sky's arm linked with mine on my right, "She wouldn't have liked you seeing her in a patient gown," she joked sensing the awkwardness.I knew for a fact that he remembers what he told me that night. Everything he did told me that: the way he talked to me, the way he avoided looking straight at me, the way he kept a small distance from me to how he didn't use the usual nicknames.
We stopped in some shops as Bambam wanted to get a pair of sandals that came out not too long ago but unfortunately it seemed that those shoes were pretty popular as they were sold out wherever we went, "You can get those online too!" my brother tried to assure his friend, "But I wanted to try them on before buying them!"
30 minutes passed in a blink as we followed Bambam and looked around the shops, "Man I'm hungry and it's 12:45, the restaurant is open, let's just go" Yugyeom dragged Bambam out of the 5th store in that street.
We all giggled seeing Bam struggling freeing himself from a much stronger boy. Finally I had some Chinese food after a long time, I craved it so badly but had no chance of having it in the last month.
As we finished eating we pondered what we could have done for the rest of the afternoon: no one had plans.
"We could go to an arcade!" Sky proposed and the first one opposing that idea was Bambam, still not over his sandals. Again we all tried to convince him how he could've bought those online and if they didn't fit him he could've just returned it."Actually I do have plans," Mark spoke, "I have plans with Cecilia."
I looked at him, eyebrows furrowed and arms crossed in front of my chest, I was about to speak up when he took my hand and waved to the rest of the group.
He intertwined his fingers with mine as me walked away from our friends.
I glanced at him, he glanced back at me and smiled, somehow I started smiling too and I didn't question him further. I didn't care.🌺🌺🌺
