Cecilia's POV
"It's a secret? What are you? Five?" I asked in disbelief, I blinked furiously acting like a diva, but seriously? Is it a joke?
I hate it when people just act like this, it drives me insane.I glared at him for a while, my expression clearly demanding him to spill the beans right there.
He looked at my reflection on the rear-view mirror and laughed, my anger melted down in a nanosecond, damn I hate his smile, it's literally the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
"Nope I'm not, but it still remains a secret, when we get there you'll know," He shushed me and focused on the street.
"This is kidnapping, it's a crime!" I protested, this time he laughed wholeheartedly "It's not if you came with me on your own free will."
This guy seriously!
I'm not gonna hit him just because he's driving. Now I could see Namsan Tower getting bigger and bigger as we got closer to the it but we drove right past it.
Curiosity was eating me alive, what is the purpose of this all?
I couldn't find an answer, or better, I couldn't find an answer that didn't build my hopes up."We are almost there," he said after he turned right and left for about an hour into the deep forest of the mountains.
It was already pretty dark and the air was getting colder, but I didn't mind, I just wanted to get out of the car and know where he took me.Ten minutes later he turned the engine of the car off, "We arrived!" He announced happily as if an hour of drive didn't wear him off.
I was just a little sleepy, during the whole ride we didn't exchange a single word if not me sharing my complaints out aloud. It would have been super dark if not for the dim light of a streetlight: it was super creepy.
"So you intend to murder me here and bury me somewhere in the deep forest so when they find me I'll be decomposed and nobody will ever recognize me?" I asked with a hint of sarcasm, he laughed and gestured me to catch up to him.
"I will take that for a 'yes'," I said rolling my eyes, he wasn't playing along and quickly killed my intention to fool around.I walked next to him when he stretched a hand for me to take.
I looked at him in a questioning way and he just emphasized, with a gesture, the hand he offered me.
I took it and he guided me through the wholes and stairs to the cliff.
I looked up trying to alleviate the fear of the incredible height and the night view left me speechless: it was beautiful.
Maybe I could even say romantic, "Wow," I repeated the same word for three times probably, the view could not be described by human's words."Regretted the one hour drive?" He asked raising his eyebrows up and down in a mocking way, I didn't reply and sat down next to him.
"Well now I am ready to murder you and bury you right here," he joked hitting my arms lightly.
"Oh no, I am scared, I am running away, you see?" I played along.
They laughed till they were in tears and lied down on the fresh grass, no sounds were heard aside from some grasshoppers, summer was coming to an end and therefore the nights were getting cooler.
"Are you cold?" He asked as if he could read my thoughts, "Not really," I shrugged, "I think I have a jacket in the car, let me get it," he said before getting up and running to the car, five minutes later he was back, panting and holding a flannel button-up.
"Thanks," I wore it and I felt much better.
This is the kind of things that makes your heart skip a beat, and indeed it had the same effect on me: I was falling deeper and deeper."Well it's getting late, I don't want to be killed by your brother so I better take you b-"
"No worries, my brother is abroad with Yugyeom," I cut him off, "If it's okay with you I'd like to stay here a little bit more."It had been a very long time since I last distances myself from the chaotic city: traffic jam, music, people's loud voices, blinding lights, smog and all that.
It was really nice changing air for even a short while, enjoying the scenery of a metropolitan city.
"As you wish princess," he joked.I'm glad we can talk like this, I still remember when I couldn't stand him, not even a bit, but now I feel like I'll miss him once he'll drive me home.
I did never think of how much I craved for his presence, his jokes and just his voice, not until tonight. We stayed like that for about thirty minutes more before I was feeling sleepy and asked him to drive us back, the whole ride remained silent, I didn't speak, nor did him: only the low music from the car's speakers were heard.
"Thank you for tonight, I had fun! We have to go there again one day, it was really mesmerizing," I said as I came out of his car.
"Definitely, but for now goodnight and sweet dreams," he winked playfully, I grimaced "Ewww goodnight to you to Mark," I waved before closing the garden's gate behind me and walking to the door.I quickly ran to my room and saw Mark's car still parked in front of the house, after he took a glance at my room's window and drove off.
I spun around and landed on my bed, was my body always this heavy or am I getting old?
I laughed at how silly my thoughts could be and went to the bathroom to wash up.•••

MARK's POVWhere did my determination from the afternoon go?
Where I'm asking myself, where?I asked her out, I took her to a romantic place and I cannot open my mouth to say 3 words, since when did I become such a coward?
I opened the door of my car to get a jacket for Cecilia, "Okay now repeat after me: I like you," I played the whole situation in my imagination, "Repeat it one more time: I like you Cecilia," I sighed "See? It's not that hard!" I lightly slapped my cheeks.
I ran back to where I left her and handed her a flannel shirt, "Thanks," she wore it.
We laughed and talked and then I noticed that the time was getting late, "No worries, my brother is abroad with Yugyeom," she reassured "If it's okay for you I'd like to stay here a little bit more." well it's not like I didn't want to spend more time with her, "As you wish princess," I joked.
I'm glad we can talk like this, I still remember when I couldn't stand her, not even a bit, but now I feel like I'll miss her once I'll drive her home.
I did never think of how much I craved for her presence, her jokes and just her voice, not until tonight. After a while we decided it was late enough to get back, so I drove her home and we didn't speak a word.
I turned on the music and adjusted the volume so that it was audible but it didn't ricochet in the whole car.
She hummer and tapped her finger along with the music. After I dropped her in front of her house I made sure she got in because I just wanted to spend some more time with her, even a tiny bit is okay.
One last glance to the lit up window of her room and I started the engine.🌸🌸🌸
