"Cal, I really don't want to go." Luke complains again for the third time.

"Luke, suck it up and get out of the house already!" Calum calls from outside the front door.

Luke huffs in annoyance and complies, but not before grumbling about how Cal 'should know better than take me to sports' and other silly things like that.

Luke's sitting boredly, resting his chin on his hand as half time draws to a close.

"Luke, look! They're swapping Blake for Irwin!" Calum says excitedly and Luke just sighs.

"That's really great, Cal." He says but then he catches sight of this so called Irwin. "Wait a fucking second..." Luke trails off.

"This is why I keep trying to drag you to these games. Because I know Ashton is your type." Calum says with a grin.

"Who's A- oh. Okay. Well he's kinda hot..." Luke trails off sheepishly and gives Calum a small smile.

By the end of the game, Luke actually, well roughly, knows how the game works, seeing as he finally decided to pay attention. He's in fact asked Calum about every single thing Ashton's done, and that's actually how he learnt but nobody needs to know that.

"So when's the next game?" Luke asks casually but, of course, Calum can see straight through him.

"Very subtle there." He says. "And it's in three days time." He then says looking at his phone as he types.

"Shut up." Luke grumbles and they stop as Calum makes a phone call which ends up lasting 20 minutes.

When he hangs up, everyone's mostly gone and it's just Luke and Calum in the corridor. They hear talking from down one end and as they get closer, they see its Ashton's team, including Ashton, waiting around outside the toilets.

"Don't say anything." Luke hisses at Calum who laughs.

"Chill man, I wouldn't do that to you." He promises.

As they walk past, Luke actually manages to look pretty cool as he passes the team, giving them a nod.

But as his eyes scan the small crowd, they lock with a pair of brown eyes and when he focuses, Ashton's smiling at him.

Luke gives him a small smile back and continues to walk, feeling happy that he managed to stay calm and appear like someone who people want to hang around with.

Luke's on the edge of his seat as Ashton comes on in the second half of the game, as per usual.

It's been about 15 minutes when Ashton has the ball and he just holds it, looking around the crowd slowly, ignoring the shouts of his team mates to pass the ball.

Ashton's gaze gets closer and when it lands on Luke, it stays there before he mouths the word 'same' and passes the ball off, continuing as if nothing had happened.

Throughout the rest of the game, their eyes keep meeting, mainly because Luke can't take his off Ashton, and because he thinks Ashton's certain that Luke's confused by his action.

"Did you see that?" He asks Calum at the end of the game.

"What?" Calum asks. "That they won... Yes Luke I'm right next to you."

"No... Never mind."

He takes one last glance at the court and sees Ashton looking his way just for a few seconds before he disappears.
