Sierra's POV- 1983
I'm on my sixth year. I'm 25 years old. I can't believe I'm 25! This just seems so unreal. I still act as if I'm 19 and with Michael. Speaking of Michael, I haven't talked to him in three years. That's crazy.
I still talk to Janet. It's crazy that she's 17 already. All our conversations are about boys and flirting and all that stuff. I gave her a few good pointers. She told me Michael is busy getting attention from people all over the world. His album Thriller came out last year.
I listened to it. It was amazing! He is definitely going to win every single award possible. I wanted to congratulate him for such an amazing album, but my hotel phone won't go through. I've talked to Scot and Shanone every night also. Get this...they're a couple now! That's crazy!
They started dating two years ago! I'm missing out on everything in their life. They told me Michael is busy with interviews and stuff, but that he said he misses me. I doubt it. We've drifted apart. I just hope we can still be friends when I get back.
I still plan on going back. There's no way in hell, I'll miss seeing everyone grow old. I want to be with them forever. They're my true friends. Kiley, she's cool and knows how to have a good time, but I need that cautiousness like Michael had. I miss that.
I'm sitting back stage at that new show. Um... The David Letterman Show. This talk show just came on last year on the first of February. I decided to accept their offer. As my makeup artist, Fonzo, finishes the last touches, the producer of the show comes up to me and says,
"You have 3 minutes. "
I nod. Fonzo says,
"Okay, all done. Who's the toughest girl this world as ever seen?"
I smile and say, "Me and they better not forget it."
Fonzo smiles and kisses the top of my head.
"Go get em, tiger."
I get up and walk toward my mark. Fonzo has been my makeup artist since the beginning. He's actually coming with me when I go back to Scot and them. He always ask me that question, and I always give him the same answer.
I hear David say, "Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome one of the hottest artist out there, Sierra Thomas! "
I walk out from behind the curtain and immediately the crowd goes crazy. I giggle and wave to them. I'm glad there were more security guards, because the crowd was desperately trying to get to me. I walk over to David Letterman and take a seat.
I wave and smile at everybody. It takes a minute or two, but they finally calm down.
David says, "Sierra it's so great to see you. I'm glad you accepted this interview. "
"Well, after two years in the dark, I thought it was time to speak to the world again."
"You've been very busy."
"Yes, I have."
An audience member yells, "Sierra, I love you!!"
I giggle and say, "I love you too. "
The crowd goes wild. I begin to laugh pretty hard. David says,
"Can't you just feel their energy? "
I nod. I calm down and say, "Oh yes. Defiantly. That's why I love it when I'm performing. "
David says, "You know, I heard Michael Jackson is heading this way for a concert during his tour."
I show a little to much excitement as I say,
"Yeah, I heard that too. I hope I see him. It's been awhile. "
